Ezra's POV
As he touched the tree, I was waiting for some kind of message — maybe the king's mate had left something for Angel.
But then something happened beyond my expectations. Because the moment he touched it, a bright light began to pour out from the tree, scattering everywhere. It was so bright that I closed my eyes, tightly holding Calix's hand.
A few seconds later, when I opened my eyes, I saw Calix looking at Angel. And then I realized — everything had returned to normal.
There was no night, no full moon. It was just an ordinary forest again, with daylight shining through. Nothing looked cursed anymore. It looked... peaceful. Just like before.
"Wow, so it was here," Angel said.
And then, he started to disappear.
"Pleased to meet you all, and thank you for helping me. I hope you all will be happy together forever."
He said, and I smiled at him as he faded away, gone forever.
I sighed once everything was done.
