The doorbell shrill ring pierced the quiet morning, startling Calista who was making a cup of coffee for herself. Curiously, she walked towards the door and swung it open, her jaw nearly dropped.
There Celeste stood, on their doorstep, impeccably dressed as always, a forced smile plastered on her face, "Good morning, Calista," Celeste said swiftly. "I'm glad I met you, may I come in?"
Calista's mind raced, "What fresh hell is this?" she questioned herself while bracing her mind for Celeste's unexpected visit.
"Of course." Calista replied, stepping aside. "Please come in."
As Celeste breezed past her, Calista caught a whiff of her expensive perfume. "I suppose you're wondering why I am here?" Celeste began, sitting on the edge of the sofa.
Calista bit her lips as memories invaded her head of the night she spent there with Orion. She nodded, not trusting herself to speak at that moment. "Here we go." She sighed, bracing herself for Celeste's criticism.
