Thaddeus smiled softly and let Kayden rest his head on his shoulder, his arm draping protectively around him. The drive to the airport had taken a little longer than expected, but it didn't matter, they were together, and that was all that counted.
Once they arrived at the airport, the driver helped them unload their luggage, and Thaddeus guided Kayden through the terminal with a careful, protective hand on his back.
