At this point, Drakar may be her only hope. Daela has seen how powerful he was when fighting those evil pure blooded males, they had crumbled beneath this ancient dragon's power.
The plot in Daela's mind is of ways to convince Drakar to help her against Amendiel, that dragon that had captured Faelyn again. But now, Drakar has suddenly dropped this fatal statement of letting her go.
"No, I won't leave!" Daela states firmly, surprising even Drakar. Why is this female so difficult to understand? Not that Drakar planned on letting her leave, but he certainly didn't think Daela would pass his test—shouldn't she be jumping at the opportunity of freedom?
"I will safely take you and your friend down the mountain, if that's what you are worried about," Drakar says again.
"It's not it. No, I won't leave!" Daela's knuckles turn white from clenching her fists so tight, still glaring up at Drakar with fierce determination burning in her eyes.
