The male's haunted scream makes the other opponent halt midway, terror chilling the Fae to the bones as he witnesses the dragon's brutal slaying.
"Go!" Kaelin hisses at him, nudging him forward while weaving a spell around his companion. Silver threads of magic spiral through the air, but they shatter like glass against Drakar's flames that ooze from his bared teeth.
It happens in seconds. Drakar moves with inhuman speed when his opponent thrusts the blade forward, his dragon reflexes making the attack seem painfully slow. He catches the blade in his bare hand, his scaled palm uncut by the steel.
It is too easy.
With a contemptuous snarl, he crushes the weapon to fragments, metal screaming as it bends and breaks. He lands a devastating blow into the jaw of his attacker, dragon strength behind it, sending teeth and blood flying in a grotesque spray. The man's jaw completely shatters, hanging at an unnatural angle.
