After we hijacked the chariot of those blue guys, or I hijacked it while those guys went along, the two guys went completely silent while looking at me as if I did something incomprehensible to them, but I didn't care much about how they looked at me .
The interior of the chariot that we were now in, was much more luxurious than the one we was in before, the windows seemed to be magically enhanced to keep shifting in colors, the moment I tried to stare outside, the window won't go down, but it will still allow me to look and see what was behind it .
Those guys from the Levern Family seemed to know how to enjoy themselves quite a bit, there was couches that acted as the seat, they were so comfortable that I felt like sleeping for some time, the temperature of the chariot seemed to be adjusting automatically to how the people inside preferred it .
Before, it was quite cold with the Levern still inside, but now it was much much warmer, I felt as if it was asking me to take a nap more and more, like as if everything was perfectly set for that, but I still preferred not to .
I looked at the scenery outside and the blue energy barrier that kept painting a blue skies in front of me, I have been here in this world for almost a month, but I didn't have the chance to experience the sceneries in it, nor was able to experience much of anything to be more accurate, I kept stumbling upon either plots or great secrets, some was being solved bit by bit, while others were unmoved still .
What kind of world was this world, that gigantic blue creature that was capable of eating stars like popcorn, was he really living in a world similar to our, for some reason, I felt that I was intrigued to reach that world myself, I wonder what other mysteries will I be able to meet and maybe even solve .
What we are going to do now family head, we really stole The Levern Family's chariot, this wasn't something those guys will forgave easily, they might even try and take their vengeance on the other family members .
Loger was the one who suddenly started to panic, after so much time that had already passed, yet only now was he trying to voice his concerns, saying all of this while having a panic-stricken expression on his face, looking at the family head who had only came back to his senses, after Loger's voice reached him .
He disturbed my peaceful moment and I couldn't help but glare at him, but it seemed that he was in no sane mind to be affected by such actions, he was completely focused on the face of the family head, wanting for his answer, suggestion, anything that might be acting as a solution out of this current predicament, seeing his reaction, I really began to wonder why was he making much a scene out of it .
They kept trying to make us crash, I in return made them unable to do so anymore, but I can tell that might be something more to what happened, just by looking at the expression of the family head I was able to do so .
It was all your damn faul..... .
As if finally finding someone who he can pent up some frustration on and he seemed to be leering for the chance to do so, Loger suddenly turned to me and was going to continue shouting and cursing, but once he looked at my eyes which still had the weird shape inside of it, his body shook and he just opened his mouth, but no words came out, only sweat beginning to form on his head at seeing me glaring, sensing how much tension began to appear in the vehicle,the family head sighed then intervened to ease the situation and said :
Sigh, just let go of it, there was no point on dwelling on it anymore, after we reach the Palace, we will just have to return it and promise them a good compensation and that should appease those greedy fellows a little to not pursue this matter anymore .
The family head's words were able to successfully calm the panicking Loger, was this chariot really that big of a deal, even if so, I might have not want to stir trouble before, but now I liked this vehicle and I'm planning to keep it, whether those from the Levern Family liked it or not, I declared that directly, saying :
" Sorry, but if you want to hand over this chariot back, I would recommend for one similar to hand over, I won't be handing this one over, I hope you understand this, family head .
The moment my words fell into the ears of the two, they looked at me with even more intense bewilderment than before, the first one to lash out at me, was again none other than the guy named Loger, he directly said :
Are you crazy, do you know how much stronger the Levern Family than ours, they too are the direct subordinates to King Devo, not only that, but they had always hated our family and tried to take every chance to attack us and if not for the fact that we are in some kind of marital relationship with the Emperor, we would have been probably being kicked out of the 13 Founding Families position and probably would have lost our chair in the council .
He said this and no matter how the family head tried to calm him down, his voice only grew louder and louder as if we weren't able to him already, I waited him to finish saying all this and indeed thought that me doing this was indeed a good idea, a great one even, he blurted so many important pieces of information in his anger just now, but as he mentioned that Marital relationship, his voice was beginning to become fainter, it was as if he didn't want me to hear it .
I listened to what he was saying calmly and then before I said anything, the family head sensing that I might be doing something to Loger, said in try of meddling :
Let go of this matter for now, both of you .
I didn't even shift my gaze to him still locking on at the guy that seemed to be still wanting to say some more things and said :
" Are you finished ? .
" If you are, then again I will clear everything up to allow your narrow mind to be able to squeeze my words in and so that you understand my final decision, I won't be handing the vehicle, I had gotten to like it .
You, you, you are cursing our family to doom, we like this will be going against the Demon Emperor's wishes and pl.... .
Shut up both of you .
The family head said this and suddenly inside of the chariot, there was some familiar pressure being exerted, I was surprised, firstly I thought that pressure was something like an authority the family head had in the house, but it seemed my guess about it being only usable when in the house, but it seemed that he was still able to use it after we were already away from the family's mansion .
But I noted that the pressure that was being exerted was also much weaker than the pressure exerted before in the hall, but it was still enough to force Loger's face to pale and he fell silent directly .
The family head then looked at me directly and was looking at me with pleading eyes, I first didn't understand what he was doing or trying to say, but I felt that he might either still be asking me to behave myself or to hand over the chariot, but the answer was the same either way, I shook my head at him and I saw that for a few seconds there he was actually gritting his teeth at me .
I didn't care much about him doing this and taking opportunity of the chariot finally settling down, I instead contemplated a bit on the information that I just got, discarding of the fact that even though the 13 Founding Families should be here for one purpose and it was a must that the relationship between them to be good to achieve that that shared goal and that they had their own internal strifes between them .
One piece of information was what caught my utmost attention, what kind of Marital Relationship that this family had with the Demon Emperor and how that even came to be, the Dorell family wasn't even a main prestigious family in the Demon race back in the real world, yet, the Demon Emperor actually agreed to have a Marital Relationship with the said family .
And what kind of relationship was it, he was going to marry someone from this family, there was also the chances of him asking someone else from his family to marry someone from the Dorells, I wonder .
As I was contemplating on this, my mind suddenly recalled something and I couldn't help but look at the currently snorting and staring at me coldly Loger and remembered that guy talking about me talking someone away from him, I suddenly had a bad premonition in heart, thinking that they might have been connected, but I still can't tell why he thought that I would be taking someone from him, how that conclusion came to be .
Asking him about it might be fruitless as he might lashed out again and my mind was already bustling with enough headaches, so adding him to the mix, would be something very awful, I instead turned to look at the guy that hadn't dropped his gaze on me since the chariot had fall into silent and said while touching the frame of the couch, I was sitting on :
" Does this chariot hold much value to the Levern Family ? .
Of course it did you stu.... .
I remember telling you to shut up didn't I .
At my question, the guy who I wasn't even directing my question to, answered and was again about to lash out, but the family head raised his head and stopped him from doing so while reprimanding him harshly, then he turned to me and said in a tone that sounded like he was still trying to convince me to hand it over, he said :
You might not remember this, but even though we had only recently acquired those vehicles, they had become part of our identity as Founding Families, look at the street outside, do you see a person even walking in the street .
I was doing what I was told and indeed saw that not a single person was walking outside, there were no other vehicles on the road as well, the whole road was silent and only our vehicle was on it, I looked back at him and he continued to say :
Why do you think this was the case, seeing the vehicle of someone from the 13 Founding Families is akin to seeing a royalty, there was even a law set by King Devo that those 13 vehicles that belonged to the 13 families were to be delt with like such .
No people were allowed to cross the road, no vehicle was allowed to cross the road as long as one of the the 13 Founding Families, unless they themselves were one of those families, or someone that had paid enough Mana Stones to get privileged, believe it or not, that was the exact text of that law .
So you should now able to understand how important were these vehicles to each and everyone of those families, losing one family's vehicle meant losing of family's face, making them a laughingstock between the other 12 families, that is why we must consider handing it back to them, as to prevent bloodshed that might come from offending another family .
As he said the last words, he looked at me with the same pleading look from earlier, but just as before, my decision hadn't changed, I shook my head again and after gritting his teeth for a few seconds, he let go of the matter for now and rested his back on the couch and just kept on sighing quite a lot .
But why would I care about the face of those blue guys, I liked this vehicle and I will take this vehicle, it was as easy as that around here, after all this was a place where the most important thing was how big was your fist and until now, I hadn't seen someone who has bigger fist than me at least those Levern didn't .
So if they wanted the chariot of theirs back, it will be quite a simple process, they will just need to send someone stronger than me to get it back, if not then the chariot will stay with me and as for their subordinate relationship with King Devo, well the same thing goes, as long as someone stronger than me come and get it, I will have no problem, or maybe won't be able to have any problem .
Me being labeled as having lost my memory, seemed to be quite helpful, at least I would be able to let loose with my actions, that will be quite needed for the next steps that I had in mind, but for now I will be more focused on locating and reaching that girl from my world before any of the demons or monsters get his hold on her, as that might complicate things a bit more for me and her of course .
If it really was Hana, then I make hell break loose on this city and its so-called King Devo, but if it wasn't I will still beat him, for the plan that I had in mind to work, I will actually need to challenge that guy either now or later, but it's bound to happen .
Just as I was thinking this, I began to sense that the chariot seemed to be slowing down, I looked at the family head who should have been resting his head on the comfy couch and saw that he actually stood up and had a tensed expression on his face .
I didn't even need to ask, since I already saw the Palace getting closer and closer in my eyes, the blonde guy already experience with what was going on didn't move much from his position, he only looked at me with an expression that seemed to gloat my lack of understanding .
I almost hit him in the same way, I did to his father, but in the end I decided against it, due to guessing his scream might be quite loud, after a few seconds more the car came to stop and the door was automatically opened and the moment it did, I heard a few voices saying in unison :
We welcome the arrival of the esteemed guests and friends from the Levern Family .
The two looked at each other in uncertainly and the guys who were bowing in front of the chariot were reacting in a similar way as well .
Looking at the huge royal palace in front of my eyes, I thought to myself, my plan will start once I stepped out of this chariot.
