The Council didn't see it coming.
Kael marched into the throne hall alone.
Behind him: Reya, Liora, Mina, Celes, Zarya—each blazing with synchronized Ether.
The Grand Matron rose. "You were warned."
Kael didn't respond.
He simply raised his hand.
Ether exploded. The walls cracked. The floor split. Half the chamber collapsed in a golden wave.
Guards fled. Matrons screamed.
Kael stepped over the Grand Matron's broken staff and whispered, "I'm not yours anymore."
Then he turned and walked out.
And the Age of Obedient Men officially ended.
