Kael shot up from bed, chest heaving. Zarya beside him, nude and smirking. Reya sat at the desk, reading by candlelight.
"Another one?" Reya asked.
Kael nodded. "Worse this time."
He saw a man.
One that didn't bow.
Draped in black. Marked with red spirals. He whispered in the dream:
> "You're not the last, Kael. You're just the loudest."
Kael touched his own chest. The Ether knot pulsed once, painfully.
Whoever that was… he wasn't just a memory.
He was coming.
