Chapter 5 - C5-RAYN

Among the bunches of people where they are running to evade themselves from this thunderous besides windy weather and during it all stood a young woman, unmoving- frozen not from the chill, but by something else. I will not be wrong if I assume it as fear. Thunder cracked above like the growl of a beast and she flinched, yet did not runlike the others. Her light blue dress rippled wildly in the wind, clinging to her form one moment and fluttering like wings the next. The colour shimmered faintly against the storm-dark world, making her seem almost ethereal- like a ghost caught between worlds, or a spirit glowing quietly beneath the tempest's wrath.

She is.... indistinct.

Her eyes, wide and distant just moments ago, seemed to lose focus completely. She blinked slowly like someone struggling to wake up from a dream, and then—She collapsed.

My legs started moving slowly I can't process but my thoughts are instructing me to proceed. I rushed forward, catching her just before she hit the ground. Her body was limp, frighteningly so, and her face had gone pale beneath the sky's furious shadow. She isn't seeing me. No recognition, no panic, no response—just silence. "Hey-hey!" I called gently but my voice is sharp enough with worry. "Can you hear me?" Nothing. Only the storm answer. Her eyes barely moved behind fluttering lids, as if chasing shadows only she could see. Her skin is cold, her breath shallow.

I pull her closer, shielding her with my arms. I don't know what she is seeing—if she is seeing anything at all—but her stillness scaring me more than the thunder could ever, and I don't know why I am doing these all and I don't fvckingly want to know. I gather her into my arms. Her body is weightless, terrifyingly so, like a petal caught in the wind. I cradle her gently, her head resting against my chest."You're okay" I whispered even though I know she isn't hearing me, "I've got you" I stilled-I've got her? Realization is hitting me continuously like why I am doing this? Why I am here and helping a person out of nowhere whom I even don't know. Ignoring all of my thoughts I move to a cafe and place her in a seat swiftly. Holding her cheeks I am calling her again and again, but she isn't responding which is terrifying me more behind my conscious. "Sir, who is this lady?" Dario entered and questioned me as if I know, "How am I supposed to know?! Didn't you see she was about to collapse in the middle of street?" I shouted. "I did but..." before he could say any more words I ordered "Check her bag and see if you could find anything like any number of someone she knows or something" without spending any time he checked and found a number in a little notepad and he informed the opposite person of the phone call.

After some time a man set his foot in; he was that kind of man you'd walk past a hundred times and never look twice. Everything about him? Astoundingly average. Brown hair that couldn't decide if it's curly or straight, a nose that looks like it had given up halfway through being shaped, even his walk was indecisive—like he isn't entirely sure where his knees are supposed to go. That man breaks the silence and grabs that lady harshly who is lying in my arms and called her by the name 'Rora'. "Hell Rora wake up! What happened to you, wake up!!" He roared. "Shouting will go in vain. We were calling her but didn't work. Take her home nor hospital ASAP" my PA suggested. He didn't think for another second and took her in his lap then they're gone.
