Chapter 4 - The Beginning of My Journey as an Empress

The Emperor?! No way—I clutched the Grand Master's robe.

"WHO? WHERE? WHEN?"

"You seem... not yourself these days, Your Majesty." The Grand Master gently pushed my hands away.

"Are you okay? You may need some rest." Her voice softened like a blade sheathed in silk. "And then... I will tell you everything you want."

"Oh god, oh god... I should calm down." But seriously....

What in the world is going on here?

My room was large—filled with dresses. That huge sconce terrified me...

I would tell them to change it.

And my bed... my elegant XXL bed—oh my god, I loved it.

Time to lie on it.

But... what was "XXL"? I didn't understand what I'd just said.

My head pounded...

When I remembered those memories, it's like I had double memory.

I have to recall his name before everything vanishes…

His name... his name...

But I ended up sleeping.

Morning came.I woke before sunrise because I had to be dressed properly.

I felt restricted, but this was the day that the Grand Master had promised me answers.

Maybe it's a hint to learn how I came here?

They're always stunned

by the way I eat...

the way I talk...

the way... the way...

It's written completely clear on their faces

I ate my breakfast... listened to the performance...

We even had a clown!

His name was Jezstro.

His name was weird. So were his jokes.

I didn't understand why they kept laughing.

But now, finally, it was time for the truth.

The Grand Master came to "have a chat" about what was going on.

"Your Majesty... you seem well today?"

I tried my hardest to stay 'normal' in their terms.

"Can you tell me about him... the Emperor?"

"Emperor William is on a mission. He returns tomorrow."

The Grand Master's eyes pinned me like daggers.

"Don't you remember the time you spent together? Are you truly unwell, Your Majesty?"

My heart raced—

William... William...

Why did that name feel like shattered glass in my chest?

I forced my voice steady:

"I... I know him!!! Haha! I was imitating Jezstro's jokes! Haha!"

The Grand Master said nothing.

I was waiting. Waiting. Waiting.

They told me tomorrow would be a feast.

Well... that's not uncommon.

I have one every day.

At the feast, the long table was filled with imposing figures I didn't recognize—but they knew me well.

I tried talking to Jezstro, keeping myself busy...

but they kept pulling him away every time he approached me.

Finally, the Emperor arrived.

I didn't recognize him.

Two men approached?

One... meh.

And the other— OH MY—

A tall, handsome gentleman with beautiful hair.

He was so elegant... IT'S HIM! I'M PRETTY SURE!

"WILLIAM! DARLING! HOW ARE YOU?!"

I rushed forward and hugged him tightly.

"My William, I missed you! Where have you been?!"

He cleared his throat.

"Eh... Your Highness?

I'm not William.

It's... the other one
