Tokyo International Airport.
The glass walls reflected a silver sky split by descending planes, phones rang, children cried, people talking with each other, people walking all over the place.
And Nki, Koru and Aaru.
They stood just beyond Gate 17 surrounded by people dragging rolling luggage and flight attendants striding past in uniforms too clean for this much chaos.
Nki sighed loudly folding her arms with a slump in her shoulders.
Her voice came out flat almost a complaint.
"Heyyy when is he coming?"
Koru speak and replied.
"Aaru is sir Haiso here yet?"
Aaru didn't answer right away his eyes were glued to his phone screen, thumb scrolling slowly across some text.
After a moment he sighed.
"No idea...He messaged thirty minutes ago. Said he'd be here in no time."
Koru rubbed the back of his neck letting out a breath between clenched teeth.
"That man…"
Nki spun in a slow circle, then dropped onto her suitcase like a bored cat.
