Chapter 77: Luya Uses Flash Time! Vegeta Was Confused

Luya stood up from the rockpile, glaring angrily at the fake Vegeta.
"Idiot!" Vegeta muttered under his breath.
"I think you shouldn't interfere…" the old hermit warned softly.
"Shut up!" Vegeta turned and snapped at him, visibly irritated.
The hermit fell silent.
Luya fixed his gaze on Copy‑Vegeta and blinked.
Before Copy‑Vegeta could react, a flash of white light immobilized him completely Luya vanished and reappeared behind him.
Without warning, Luya punched Copy‑Vegeta hard in the stomach.
"Ugh!!!" Copy‑Vegeta coughed violently.
Impossible!! Are you kidding me!! Vegeta's face froze in shock.
The scene felt eerily familiar but he wasn't sure yet.
Luya smirked, then delivered a second blow, sending Copy‑Vegeta into the rubble.
Boom!
A giant boulder crashed down on him, burying his body briefly.
"Payback for the sneak attack?" Luya said calmly.
But then the rocks exploded outward, and Copy‑Vegeta emerged, furious and disbelieving: "Impossible! How can you use Flash Time?!"
Flash Time!
Now Vegeta understood the same technique Hit had used.
Luya replied matter-of-factly: "I learned it fighting Hit."
"Damn it!!!" Copy‑Vegeta snarled, enraged. As Vegeta's copy, he resented being surpassed by someone else especially a mortal like Goku, let alone Luya.
Luya added: "Transform into Super Saiyan Blue, or you stand no chance."
"Shut up! You don't deserve to speak of SSB!" Copy‑Vegeta growled, eyes flashing with rage.
"Ah!!"—with a furious roar, Copy‑Vegeta powered up into Super Saiyan 2, his strength rising again.
Luya narrowed his eyes and vanished once more appearing directly before the fake Saiyan.
"Watch out!!" Vegeta shouted from behind, alarmed.
Even as a copy, he couldn't let his own self lose easily not to Kakarot, not to Luya.
But Luya was too fast: despite Flash Time lasting only 0.3 seconds, Copy‑Vegeta gasped as a barrage of unseen strikes knocked him to his knees.
"Ah!!" —struck down repeatedly, he collapsed.
Luya moved in—but before he could speak, Copy‑Vegeta retaliated with a Sky Cannon. Luya barely blocked it with crossed forearms, blasted backward into rock debris.
Boom!
The explosion rattled the mountain. Copy‑Vegeta rose again, aura flaring to maximum.
Crack! Stones shifted ominously.
Copy‑Vegeta unleashed his Prince's Barrage, raining explosions downward.
"Oops!!" Vegeta's heart sank as the illusion shimmered again.
"Your time is running out!" the hermit muttered powerless to help.
Watching from afar, Trunks and Goten sensed danger and grew anxious.
"Is Luya okay?" Goten whispered.
Trunks frowned: "Dad's power is insane right now even Vegeta can't match him. I worry for Luya."
The boys didn't notice the mass of wriggling pink-purple Superhuman Water sliding towards them.
Within five meters, it launched at them but before it could strike, a shadow fell over it. They leapt safely aside.
Snap!
The water exploded against the rocks, then lunged at Trunks again but suddenly began falling itself revealing Jak perched above with a laser rifle.
"Jak! You saved us!" Trunks exhaled in relief.
Jak grinned, tucking away his gun: "The hero shows up at the final moment."
Meanwhile, the battle raged on between the Saiyans Copy‑Vegeta versus Luya fierce and escalating, as dark energy crackled through the air.
