Elena sent Nanny Flora away with the excuse of wanting to have some fruit. She then hid beneath the blanket and texted Lucas, complaining about her boredom.
"There was a matchstick who complained about his head being itchy. He then scratched it continuously and got ignited. Hence, he visited the hospital and got some bandages. Make a guess, what do you think he became after the bandages?"
"A cotton bud! That's such a haphazard joke. It's so old that everyone on this earth knows the answer." Elena chided, though she was smiling brightly in amusement. Lucas was not good at telling jokes. However, he decided to rack his brains to come up with some jokes to make her happy.
Lucas stared at the screen of his mobile phone and imagined how smug she was at the moment. He browsed through an encyclopedia of jokes before sending her another joke.
Although the words seemed dry and cold, Elena was entirely amused by them and she was strangely in high spirits.
