Setting: House Norwyn – Midnight Interrogation Chamber, Eastern Courtyard, and Lyra's Room
Theme: Interrogation. Obsession. A kiss between fire and betrayal.
---
[Scene 1 – Midnight Interrogation]
Kaelrin's footsteps echoed sharply through the lower corridors. Guards flanked him, and behind them, Thorne was dragged in chains, his mask ripped away — his face calm but eyes blazing with fury.
The chamber was stone and steel, candlelight casting long shadows. Lyra stood near the back, heart pounding but expression unreadable.
> "You had motive," Kaelrin said. "You had opportunity. You left a mark."
Thorne smirked. "You mean the ribbon? Please. Even you should know how easy it is to frame a man who wears vanity like perfume."
> "Lord Vael nearly died," Kaelrin growled. "And the mark on his chest wasn't ceremonial — it was carved with precision. That sigil belongs to—"
> "The Crimson Pact," Thorne finished for him. "Yes, yes. I'm quite flattered you think I have time to resurrect ghost cults while chasing skirts and silver stags."
Kaelrin's fist slammed into the table.
> "Tell me the truth."
Thorne stood slowly. The guards tensed, but he didn't attack.
> "You want the truth?" he said, eyes flicking to Lyra. "I didn't touch Vael. But someone in this room has blood on their hands. And it's not me."
The room stilled.
> "Careful," Kaelrin warned.
> "Always," Thorne replied, his eyes still on Lyra. "Unlike you, Duke, I never pretend to be noble."

[Scene 2 – Courtyard Tension]
After the interrogation, Lyra walked alone beneath the moonlight in the eastern courtyard. Her thoughts were a battlefield — doubt, desire, and danger weaving tighter around her throat.
Kaelrin joined her, silent at first.
> "You believe him," he said quietly.
> "I don't know what I believe," Lyra confessed. "I know he's arrogant, reckless… but I've never seen fear in him. Tonight, I did."
Kaelrin's jaw clenched.
> "He wants to split us."
> "Then stop letting him," she whispered, facing him fully.
The space between them sizzled. Kaelrin took a step closer.
> "I've held back," he said. "Because I thought you needed clarity. But maybe what we need is fire."
She didn't move.
> "Then burn me," she whispered.
And he did.
Their lips met — not gentle, but hungry, aching, explosive. It was a kiss forged in frustration and fear, their bodies pressed together in the soft grass as the moon bore silent witness.
> "I'm not afraid of loving you," Kaelrin said, breathless. "I'm afraid of losing you."
> "Then don't," she replied.

[Scene 3 – The Letter Beneath the Door]
That night, as Lyra returned to her chamber, a letter waited beneath the door — sealed in red wax.
She opened it.
> "Lyra,
You're smarter than them. You feel deeper. That's why you already know the truth.
You're standing next to the real enemy.
If you want answers, come to the Chapel of Silent Flame at dawn.
— T."
Her hands trembled.
Was it manipulation? Or warning?
Either way… she couldn't ignore it.
---
[Scene 4 – Kaelrin's Past Unveiled]
Meanwhile, Darien found something worse in the archives — an old report buried under locked cipher.
It spoke of Kaelrin's father — once involved in a pact with shadow factions to protect the throne, including a secret alliance with the Crimson Pact... before they turned.
Darien's face turned pale.
> "No," he whispered. "He knew…"
He rushed toward Lyra's chambers — but she was already gone.
---
[Scene 5 – Chapel of Silent Flame]
At dawn, Lyra stepped into the abandoned chapel. The stained glass cast blood-colored light on the altar.
Thorne was there.
Unbound. Waiting.
> "You came," he said softly.
> "Talk."
Thorne stepped forward, slowly.
> "I was part of them. Once. Years ago. I escaped, disappeared, changed names. But someone's bringing the Pact back — and they're inside Kaelrin's court."
> "Why tell me now?"
> "Because you're the only one who can see clearly."
> "Or because you want me to doubt him," she snapped.
> "Both can be true."
He reached for her hand.
> "Lyra… this isn't just a war for power. It's a war for your soul. Choose carefully."
She stepped back.
But her world was already shifting.
