Konoha Main Street.
"Sensei Satoru, long time no see! How's your baby?" Inuzuka Hana asked.
Their training had stopped because Satoru's baby was about to be born, and she hadn't seen him yet.
Satoru: "Twins, a boy and a girl. They're very well-behaved and sensible. When they grow up, they should be much more obedient than your younger brother."
"What do you mean, Ugly Old Man? So you have babies now? When they grow up, I'll protect them," Kiba said, getting excited upon hearing about children younger than him.
He was already prepared to be an older brother, even though they weren't familiar with each other.
"That's great, but my children might be academic overachievers in the future. What if your grades are too poor, worse than those of students several grades below you? That would be a bit embarrassing. Are you sure you want to protect them?"
Kiba still had about a year and a half before entering Ninja School. At this moment, he didn't know that he disliked studying. Hearing Satoru's words, he patted his chest:
"Hmph, my older sister's grades are excellent. As her younger brother, I will definitely surpass her, don't worry."
Confidence shone on his small face.
"Very good. Since that's the case, I'll treat you to a meal. I'm bored anyway, and I'll test if you've learned anything from your sister." Satoru knew that noble families would educate their children early, and even through osmosis, they would have many advantages over commoners.
"Yay, free food!"
Kiba's face was full of excitement.
Woof woof~
Akamaru also barked along with him.
Watching the overly familiar Kiba and the teacher with a slight smile, Inuzuka Hana felt that Kiba was about to be tricked.
Only after experiencing Satoru's teaching did she realize he had many ingenious ways of pranking people, and there was no way to resist him.
But she felt that a little lesson wouldn't hurt her somewhat reckless younger brother. Suddenly, she felt a little excited!
Satoru took them to a barbecue restaurant: "Order whatever you want, I'm paying for everything."
Satoru was not in a hurry to go home and explore the Kurama Family's Genjutsu, nor to ponder about that terrifying Genjutsu.
The study of Ninjutsu was not something that could be done in a short time.
Interacting with young people made him feel more alive in this world, rather than being immersed in a sea of knowledge about various Ninjutsu and Genjutsu.
As one of the original Twelve Strongest Ninja of Konoha, Inuzuka Kiba was one of his favorite characters. Just like teasing Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Sasuke, teasing them gave him a sense of accomplishment, a feeling no less than defeating Pain.
"Yosh! I'm going to eat you out of house and home!" Kiba rubbed his hands together, ready to feast.
Akamaru was the same.
After ordering, the staff soon brought over the barbecue and other food, with the charcoal already glowing red.
"Kiba, how old are you now?" Satoru asked, putting some meat on his plate.
Kiba, excited, licked his lips, looking at his favorite grilled beef: "I'm four and a half years old."
"You said you'd protect my babies when you grew up, right?"
Smack~
"That's right, don't worry, Ugly Old Man," Kiba said, biting into the cooked beef and assuring him.
Inuzuka Hana sat beside them, already feeling sad for her younger brother, then maintaining her inner happiness.
When Sensei Satoru asked a question, it meant Kiba had already fallen into a trap.
"But to protect them well, you need to become an excellent Ninja, don't you agree?"
"That's right! I'll become the Hokage, and then I'll be good to them!" Kiba was still immersed in the excitement of the barbecue.
One bite for himself, one bite for Akamaru.
"Then do you know what abilities are needed to become the Hokage?"
"Huh? What abilities are needed to become the Hokage? Isn't it enough to just become strong?" Kiba thought for a moment and replied.
Inuzuka Hana covered her head. So naive, just like those boys in her class, with no self-awareness at all.
Satoru smiled and agreed: "As expected of you, Kiba. To have the mindset of a Hokage at four years old, you have a very high chance of becoming the Hokage in the future."
Hearing this, Kiba felt a surge of power in his heart: "Ugly Old Man, really?"
"..." You must be dazed from eating, calling me that?
Satoru nodded: "That's right, you have the aptitude. But merely having the Hokage's mindset isn't enough. You also need to become stronger, and you need the ability to execute the Hokage's mindset."
"What abilities do I need?" Kiba asked with confusion.
At only four years old, he didn't consider such things at all.
But he had already felt Satoru's approval. The Ugly Old Man was right, he had the aptitude.
"Here it comes..." Inuzuka Hana watched the show.
"In a little over a year, you'll be entering Ninja School. The way to become stronger is in there. I'll secretly tell you the secret to becoming the Hokage. This is what Fourth Hokage told me when he and I were chatting."
Ninja must have espionage, counter-espionage, and intelligence capabilities. Satoru didn't feel he was lying; this was training Inuzuka Kiba.
"That amazing? You really know Fourth Hokage?" Kiba, eating the barbecue, trusted the Ugly Old Man's words even more.
He's even treating me to barbecue, he definitely wouldn't lie to me.
He was even more excited about going to school.
"Of course. I'm also working hard, striving to pass the Hokage position on to you after I become Hokage."
"But I'm old now, and I learned this secret too late, so I probably won't have the chance. But you're different, you're still young. If you learn it well now, when you become Hokage, you can pass it on to my babies when you retire." Satoru progressed gradually.
Kiba was almost dying of impatience. After saying so much, why hadn't he revealed the secret yet: "Hurry up and tell me, Ugly Old Man."
"Lord Fourth said that as long as you get a perfect score in every subject at Ninja School, you'll increase your chances of becoming Hokage by half."
Satoru said it lightly, even quoting a famous person. Anyway, all he needed was to quote a noun Kiba admired before the sentence.
"Ah, will it be very difficult? Didn't my sister say it was very difficult?" Kiba was stunned when he heard 'perfect score in everything'.
Had he misheard? His sister sometimes got criticized by their parents, saying she was lacking in this or that.
Inuzuka Hana: "..."
Keep tricking him, keep tricking him!
Ninja School has dozens of subjects, breaking down into hundreds of categories. Who could get a perfect score in all of them? Not even Sensei Satoru, and she didn't think even Lord Fourth Hokage could.
Only those who had attended school knew the difficulty of studying.
Satoru shook his head: "It's both difficult and not difficult. If it's not difficult, then wouldn't everyone be able to become Hokage?"
"If it's difficult, it's because others don't have your firm will to become Hokage. As long as you carry that will and study diligently, you will become the pride of your parents, your sister, Akamaru, Haiwan, and the entire Konoha Village."
"That's right, they don't have as strong a will as I do to become Hokage. For me, it definitely won't be difficult." Kiba felt the Ugly Old Man was right. It was just writing and drawing on paper, surely easier than playing hide-and-seek with Akamaru.
The Hokage position was his.
