Chapter 7 - Assault

After hearing the huge amount that Valentin was willing to donate, the principal smiled widely and accepted his conditions. The school established an anti-bullying committee, where the bullies will be punished for their wrongdoings. During the next week, a lot of students reported the bullies, and the school punished them accordingly. The principal and the teachers knew that there were people who suffered from bullying, but they didn't know it was this severe. The majority of the victims were students who got in with a scholarship and kids who had a lower status.

The bullies' parents were unsatisfied with the school's decision, but they didn't have enough power to change the principal's mind. After all, who in their right mind would donate ten billion to the school? After a few days, the vibe at the school finally calmed down, and the victims could finally come to school without fear.

[Congratulations! You have cleansed Baekho High School from bullying and donated a large amount that would help the school's growth.

Reward: The principal and the staff of the school have a high favorability towards you. They will only listen to you.]

After hearing such a large amount of money coming out of Valentin's mouth, Seojin finally realized the difference in status between them. He couldn't always spend the judge's money. He had to find part-time work so that he could pay for his expenses. The money that his parents left him won't last for a long time.

[Mission: Have Seojin spend a thousand dollars]

After receiving the mission, Valentin gifted Seojin a credit card with 10 thousand dollars and told him that he could use the money inside. However, after a week, the money in the bank account didn't go down. Seojin didn't use the card. Valentin sighed. The male lead wasn't an easy kid. If it were someone else, they would've used the money already. Despite his young age, Seojin was careful and smart. He believed that he had to pay back if someone did something nice for him.

For the past few weeks, Seojin would often come back home after midnight. Cassian, Seojin's bodyguard, said that the kid was working part-time at a bar. The salary was higher than the salary for a normal job. Valentin didn't stop him, as long as it didn't hinder his studies. The bags under Seojin's eyes blackened as the days passed. The teacher even called Valentin, saying that Seojin was sleeping in class.

As Seojin dragged himself tiredly to the living room, Valentin said, "If your body can't handle it, you should quit your part-time job."

Seojin glared at the man sitting on the sofa. He didn't like it when other people intruded on his privacy.

"I won't interfere with what you want. Since the assassins belong to an organization, I thought that it would be safer with a bodyguard by your side," Valentin explained.

The kid's face softened. He shouldn't have gotten angry. The judge was just doing his job of protecting him against danger. He shouldn't have suspected the judge, after all, he was the only adult who helped him in his weakest moment.

"I'll manage, don't worry." Seojin smiled tiredly.

As usual, Seojin took the bus to the bar after finishing his meal with the judge. He wore his uniform and served the drinks to the clients. It was a tiring job, but at least it was paying well. The clients could sometimes be overbearing, but it was tolerable.

A drunk middle-aged man with a big golden chain around his fat neck passed by with two women in his arms and knocked the glasses of drinks Seojin was holding on his plate. The bald man swore as the liquid tainted his shoes.

"Which bastard walked into me?" the drunkard roared.

"I'm very sorry, sir," Seojin apologized and bowed. He hoped that the client wouldn't demand compensation.

The man's anger died down as he saw the beauty in front of him. He smiled oily as he stared at his pale, snowy skin and his big blue eyes.

"No worries, it was just an accident. Would you care to join me for a drink?" the fat man asked as he wrapped his hands around Seojin's waist.

Disgusted by his alcohol breath, Seojin tried to break away from his approach.

"I'm sorry, sir. I'm just a server."

The man's expression turned dark as he noticed the disgust on Seojin's face. He slapped Seojin and yelled, "You b*tch! How dare you look at me like that!"

Slapped to the ground, Seojin held his cheek and glared at the fat man. If he didn't need this job, he would've beaten the man up as he did with Dohyun. But he needed to know his place; the man was certainly of high status. He glanced towards his boss, but the bar owner avoided his gaze. The fat man wasn't someone he could go against.

Seojin laughed coldly and waited for the beating. There was no way he would sell his body for money.

Suddenly, the crowd that gathered around them scattered as two tall and muscular figures walked through the crowd. One of them had long hair, and his tight suit was threatening to burst open. He had a pair of sunglasses and an earpiece. The one walking in the front was visibly a young master. His red, dangerous eyes glistened in the darkness of the bar.

"Hyung…" Seojin called in disbelief.

"I was having a good day, but it was ruined by you, fat pig," Valentin said as he stopped the oily man's hand from slapping Seojin.

"How dare you!" the man yelled as he turned around.

One of the ladies accompanying the fat man informed him that it was the young master from the Vronsky family. The man sobered up immediately and apologized for his rudeness.

"You should also apologize to the boy," Valentin added.

The fat man was reluctant but apologized to Seojin, too. He stared at the boy and swore that next time he saw him, it would be his death. As if Valentin knew what the fat man was thinking, he told Cassian to drive Seojin home.

After they left, Valentin dragged the unpleasant man to a nearby dark alley, with a noticeable smirk on his lips. Scared of the unfamiliar surroundings, the man asked, "Young master, what are we doing here?"

Taking a knife out of his pocket, he plunged it into the hand that touched Seojin. The fat man yelled in pain as cold sweat dripped down his forehead. He fell onto the ground and gasped for breath. Blood splattered out of his hands.

"Are you crazy!" the man yelled as he tried to distance himself from the dangerous man.

Under the moonlight, the young man's eye sparkled dangerously as if he were enjoying torturing the man. Valentin sighed and wiped the blood away from his black gloves. As a clean freak, he hated to dirty his hands. It's been such a long time since he took action himself. He should hire some people again to do this dirty job.

'System, can you heal his wound and clean the scene? It's full of blood.'

[Of course! That will cost 1 million. Thank you for using the system!]

The fat man stared at the wound on his hand that was healing miraculously. He laughed crazily and raised his arms towards the sky. Even god was on his side.

His laughter died down as Valentin plunged the knife again and again into the same hand. Tears streamed down the fat man's face as the feeling of pain became numb. As the stabbing stopped, he grabbed onto Valentin's shoe and begged, "Are you going to let me go now?"

"Of course, it's already late." Valentin smiled coldly and put the knife back into his pocket.

The fat man smiled as if he had been saved and ran away from the devil and the dark alley. Little did he know that the next morning, he would be stripped of everything he had.
