I shift uncomfortably on my seat, "What are you talking about?"
He scoffs, "Don't play dumb. We are still mates remember? Unfortunately, Lucas won't reject you, and I'm not a cheater."
His words burn my chest.
A cheater.
"But what if I'm fed up? Can't I bargain with Lucas?" I fiddle with my fingers.
A small smile curls at the corner of his lips, "I still don't know why he's so obsessed with you. Didn't you see how he killed Damon because of you? Truth be told, I have never seen him that way."
I can't help but smile at the thought of Lucas obsessing over me. At least, there's someone out there who considers me their whole world haha.
"He's so sweet," I chuckle softly.
"Tch, he is a rebel," he reaches out to hold my waist again.
"Why are you a chameleon? This evening, you're being all sweet and affectionate; the next day, you'll turn to some old, grumpy man."
"Am I being affectionate?" He creases his brows, giving me an amused look.
