Time slowly passed.
The satellite footage showed that after the blue Pokémon finally chose to leave, everyone present breathed a collective sigh of relief.
The blue, four-legged Pokémon had been one of the two combatants.
The Pokémon that had come from the ocean, along with the Latias and the unfamiliar small Pokémon, had clearly arrived to help the Sea God, Lugia.
Now that one side had left, it meant the battle should finally be over.
With the incident apparently settled, the tension in the room gradually eased.
The Information Department had yet to send back any results, leaving everyone with a new question.
Who was that human?
Never mind the Pokémon that had emerged from the sea. Even the Sea God, Lugia, had gone straight to that human after breaking free from Dialga's control, bringing the other Pokémon along with it.
There was no way they could possibly be strangers.
Just then, someone in the room suddenly shouted.
"We found it!"
"The first clash of energy happened in a place called…"
He was about to continue, but Feng Yang spoke first.
"That's enough. You don't need to say it."
In truth, Feng Yang had already had a feeling when he first saw that figure.
Now that he heard the location, he was certain.
It really was that kid again.
What on earth is he doing this time?
Feng Yang felt a headache coming on.
For the League's Chief Champion of an entire region, his responsibilities were incredibly demanding.
But no matter how complicated those responsibilities became, they always revolved around two basic principles.
Development.
Stability.
Developing under the premise of maintaining stability was the principle Feng Yang had always followed.
Whenever Legendary Pokémon were involved, he was even more cautious.
Yet in less than a year, Lin Feng had already encountered several Legendary Pokémon.
And each time, he managed to make the entire League jump at the slightest disturbance.
Fortunately, none of those incidents had actually developed into a major disaster.
In the end, as he watched the sea gradually return to calm, Feng Yang could only give his orders helplessly.
"Since nothing happened, don't make this incident public."
"Have the Information Department continue searching for information about those Pokémon."
"Yes, Chief…"
...
Back at the breeding house, Lin Feng returned from the Distortion World through the reservoir.
The first thing he did was release Serperior, Gardevoir, and Dragonite.
He actually didn't think there would be much trouble this time.
But if he had left without them, they would have worried themselves sick at home.
As for Mew, Victini, and Lugia, they hadn't returned through the Distortion World, so they would probably need a little more time to get back.
Even so, the moment Gardevoir appeared, she couldn't help saying something to him.
[Gardevoir...]
(You were pretty bold just now.)
Clearly, she was referring to what Lin Feng had said to Dialga.
It had sounded almost like a provocation.
Serperior, meanwhile, said nothing.
She simply turned around and left, heading toward the Berry Garden.
"Uh…"
Lin Feng scratched his head.
He didn't know what to say, so he could only smile awkwardly at Gardevoir.
After she left as well, Lin Feng finally began dealing with the remaining matters.
Although Dialga had ultimately left, the words Lin Feng had spoken to the God of Time had clearly left an impression.
That much could be seen from the Affection value.
When they had first met, Dialga's Affection was 0.
After Lin Feng had said those words, it had dropped to -3.
It wasn't particularly low.
But it did prove one thing.
Dialga had definitely remembered him.
-3 shouldn't mean Dialga is going to come looking for revenge tonight… right?
Still…
Gardevoir seemed rather angry.
Oh no.
As Lin Feng walked, he began thinking about how he was going to properly talk things over with Gardevoir later.
Maybe Serperior too…
He wasn't entirely sure.
But when he walked out of the Berry Garden and into the courtyard, the first Pokémon he encountered were Alolan Ninetales and the others.
They had just returned from outside.
Clearly, they still had no idea what had happened earlier.
They were still talking among themselves.
[Alolan Ninetales: Rawr rawr rawr?]
(Charizard isn't a Dragon-type Pokémon? How is that possible?)
[Eevee, Eevee...]
(Exactly! It's obviously a Dragon-type Pokémon. That Charizard clearly couldn't beat us.) A Nine-tailed Eevee chimed in from the side.
Lin Feng couldn't help interrupting.
"What are you guys talking about?"
Alolan Ninetales immediately started explaining.
[Eevee!]
The Nine-tailed Eevee nodded along enthusiastically.
That Charizard couldn't even withstand its Hyper Voice.
That proved it had to be a Dragon-type!
Lin Feng: "...?"
He suddenly realized something.
He had apparently never actually taught his Pokémon anything about type matchups.
Which meant…
They didn't even know which types were strong against which.
Lin Feng suddenly felt a little guilty.
