Not long after, Angela appeared within the Angel Temple.
The moment she stepped inside the temple, the aura around her shifted. The oppressive, sinister presence of the Rakshasa Goddess peeled away like a discarded mask.
She lifted a hand and lightly brushed the air. Her true form that looked very much similar to Qian Renxue stood revealed once more.
Angela stepped forward.
The temple, once sacred and radiant, now bore the marks of ruin. Cracked pillars leaned in silence, and fragments of marble lay scattered across the ground. The air carried a faint stillness, as if time itself had slowed within these walls.
Her gaze swept across the hall… and paused briefly.
Not far away—Yu Ming's head lay lifeless.
Angela looked at it for only a moment before shifting her attention away, as if it held no further value.
Her attention went toward the throne where Qian Renxue sat unmoving.
Her posture was serene, her eyes closed as if she had fallen into a deep, endless sleep. The faint golden radiance around her had grown more stable, more condensed.
And behind her head—Seven divine rings now hovered.
For a brief second, Angela simply watched.
Then she spoke, her voice soft, almost like a whisper.
"When are you planning to wake up?"
There was no response.
"It has already been eight days since you entered deep meditation."
Her tone held neither urgency nor impatience, yet there was a faint trace of concern hidden beneath it.
"You have already inherited the Angel Godhood… yet you continue to sink deeper."
She tilted her head slightly, her gaze lingering on the faintly flickering seventh ring.
"Well… if you don't wake up soon…"
A faint smile appeared on her lips.
"Asura God and Poseidon will soon start carving up Spirit Hall in the Douluo Continent for faith."
"In the Divine Realm, time flows differently… but even so, Asura God has already begun making small moves."
Angela's eyes narrowed slightly, as if recalling something.
"He is testing the waters… stirring the growing turmoil below."
Then, her smile deepened just a little.
"I believe… you had a hand in that, didn't you?"
There was still no response.
Angela did not seem bothered. Instead, she continued, her voice carrying a quiet amusement.
"That is also why the trial involving Eros God… was delayed by two days."
Her gaze drifted slightly, landing once more on the severed head lying in the distance.
A soft laugh escaped her lips.
"He… he… he…"
"Eros must have spent those two days searching frantically for his inheritor."
She took a slow step to the side, her tone almost teasing.
"Only to finally realize… that the person he invested in so heavily...might be already dead."
The temple remained silent the golden light above flickered faintly, however Qian Renxue did not move ss if everything in the world… was still beneath her notice.
Angela continued, her voice calm,
"Poseidon did not attend the trial today," she said, her gaze drifting slightly, "which means he is most likely occupied with his own inheritor."
"I don't think I need to tell you who that inheritor is."
There was a subtle meaning behind her words—one that hung in the air.
She then raised her hand.
A book appeared, shimmering with a strange fusion of earthy brown and radiant gold light. Its presence was steady, heavy, as if it carried the weight of mountains within its pages.
Angela walked to a nearby intact section of the temple wall—one of the few parts that had not crumbled—and gently placed the book upon it.
"Well," she said lightly, "the fragments of the Mountain Dragon King Spear have finally been reforged."
Her fingers brushed over the surface of the book.
"With the assistance of the Earth Elemental God… it has been transformed into this."
"A genuine divine artefact."
Angela lifted her gaze toward the throne again, Qian Renxue remained completely still.
Angela watched her for a moment longer before speaking again.
"Well then… I will continue to distract Asura God and the Sea God as much as I can."
Her tone was steady, almost matter-of-fact.
Without waiting for a response, she turned and walked away. Her figure gradually faded, as she left the Angel Temple behind.
…
Silence returned as it seemed time seemed to stretch endlessly within the ruined temple.
Then—The newly forged book began to tremble faintly. A soft hum echoed in the air as it lifted itself from the wall, as if guided by an invisible will.
Slowly… gently…it floated toward the throne.
Then—The book descended softly on Qian Renxue's lap, which was occupied by a quill.
Qian Renxue's eyes remained closed, her expression unchanged.
Yet—Behind her head, the seven golden divine rings rotated faintly.
And then…with a flicker an eighth ring appeared like an illusion
Then—In the next instant—
Her form shifted and Qian Renxue transformed as her holy radiance softened, twisting into something darker, deeper and her figure became that of the Rakshasa.
And behind her head—another eighth illusory divine ring flickered but the colour of the ring this time matched her Rakshasa divine rings and was purple gold in colour.
