Chapter 481 - Chapter 476: Another Divine trial

A brief pause followed, his tone turning colder.

"As far as I am aware, that inheritor belonged to Rakshasa. On what basis did you interfere and impose a trial upon her?"

For a moment, even Se You's smile paused. Before she could respond—

"That question… I shall answer."

A calm, composed voice echoed through the hall.

From among the assembly, Rakshasa Goddess stepped forward.—or rather, Angela, perfectly disguised as her.

There was not a single flaw in her appearance, unless a God King deliberately focused their perception upon her, her identity would remain unquestioned. And in a formal gathering such as this, no one would act so brazenly.

She stopped at the center, meeting Asura God's gaze without hesitation.

"First," she began, her tone unhurried, "the Sin Goddess of Lust is merely assisting me in conducting a trial for my inheritor."

Her lips curved into a faint smile.

"I do not believe that constitutes a violation of any law."

A slight murmur spread across the council, but she did not pause.

"Second… this matter is not without oversight."

Her gaze shifted slightly.

"This trial is being carried out under the supervision of the Destruction God."

That single sentence caused the atmosphere to change subtly. Asura God turned his head.

Not far away, Destruction God King stood silently. Under the collective gaze, he gave a simple nod.

"Hmm."

That was all.

A faint smirk appeared on the face of the Evil God King as he glanced sideways toward the Kind God King, clearly entertained by the unfolding situation.

Meanwhile, the Life God King frowned slightly. It was rare—very rare—for her husband, the Destruction God, to involve himself in such matters without informing her beforehand.

Asura God narrowed his eyes slightly.

'So… Rakshasa, you've found yourself a backer.'

The thought flickered through his mind, but his expression remained unchanged.

Before he could press further, Destruction God spoke again, his voice steady and authoritative.

"Asura."

"I believe this Divine Council was convened to address Eros God's violation."

A brief pause.

"Do you not think… you are straying from the main issue?"

For a moment, silence hung in the air.

'Very good… Destruction God. Very good.'

Asura God's thoughts turned cold.

'I will remember this.'

Yet outwardly, he remained composed.

"I am aware," he replied evenly. "As the law enforcer of the Divine Realm, it is my duty to ensure that no rules are broken."

Destruction God narrowed his eyes slightly, but said nothing further.

Asura God shifted his attention back to Eros God.

His gaze softened… just a fraction.

"Eros," he said, "I understand your dissatisfaction regarding the… presumed death of your inheritor."

"But regardless of the circumstances, you did violate the laws of the Divine Realm."

There was no room for argument in his tone now.

 "Therefore—"

"As punishment, you will guard the seal of the Golden Dragon King… for one year."

Asura God's gaze swept across the Divine Council, lingering for a brief moment on several figures before he spoke again.

"Due to the increasing number of divine inheritances being granted in the Douluo Continent," he said, his voice steady yet carrying an unmistakable authority, "conflicts between inheritors are inevitable."

A faint pause followed, allowing his words to settle.

"When such contradictions arise, the Divine Council will intervene and regulate them."

His tone hardened slightly.

"Until then… this meeting is adjourned."

With that, the solemn assembly slowly began to disperse. Streams of divine light flickered as one god after another left the hall, their expressions varied—some thoughtful, some indifferent, and a few quietly intrigued by the undercurrents revealed today.

Among them—

Angela, still perfectly disguised as the Rakshasa Goddess, turned to leave.

Beside her, the Sin Goddess of Lust followed at an unhurried pace.

As they walked, Angela could Asura God was watching her.

However, she did not react. Instead, she continued walking as if nothing had happened.

Behind them, Asura God finally withdrew his gaze when another voice sounded.

"Asura… I have something to discuss with you."

It was the Destruction God.

Meanwhile—

Angela walked forward, her thoughts quietly turning, a burst of laughter interrupted her.

"Ha! Ha!"

The Sin Goddess of Lust spoke with clear amusement.

"Rakshasa, don't you think Eros God received quite a fitting punishment?"

She tilted her head slightly, her tone playful yet sharp.

"A god reduced to standing guard… such duties are usually left to divine officers."

Angela replied calmly, her voice even.

"Well… he received what he deserved."

Se You smiled, but there was a faint coldness beneath it.

"I don't particularly like that self-important attitude of his either," she said. "But let's be honest—the real reason he was punished…"

"…is because he was caught violating the rules."

Her words carried a certain blunt truth.

Angela simply smiled. Her expression revealed nothing, as if her thoughts were hidden behind layers no one could easily penetrate.

Seeing no reaction, Se You waved her hand lightly and changed the topic.

"Still… it's a bit troublesome."

"I have no idea who killed Eros God's inheritor."

She sighed, though her tone did not carry much concern.

"Now I'll have to prepare another trial for Bibi Dong."

A faint glint appeared in her eyes.

"Though, to be fair… the abilities she has already displayed are more than sufficient."

Angela's smile deepened slightly.

"Well… who knows how Yu Ming died."

Her voice was soft, almost casual.

"But you should continue overseeing Bibi Dong's trial."

There was something subtle hidden in her words, though it passed like a fleeting breeze.

Then, as if recalling something, Angela paused.

"Ah… I just remembered something important."

She turned slightly, her golden eyes calm.

"I'll meet you later in my temple."

Without waiting for a reply, she stepped forward—and disappeared into a stream of fading divine light.

Se You watched her leave, her smile slowly narrowing.

"…Interesting."

She murmured softly to herself before turning in another direction.
