Chapter 62 - [62]. The Purple Kitty

It's not that Kaso wanted to flatten Philiya—it's just that this Universal Capsule really wasn't something an ordinary person could invent.

Throughout the entire anime series, it's clear: no one in the wider universe outside Earth knows how to make this kind of tech.

"Brat, where did you get this from?" Philiya arched her brow, asking again.

"A guy named Brief developed it."

"You know him?"

"..."

Hearing that, Kaso immediately realized what she was getting at.

He sighed. "Yeah, I know him. I'll introduce you sometime—when the chance comes."

Don't be fooled by Philiya's curvy figure and stunning face—Kaso knew all too well that this girl was cold, headstrong, and extremely stubborn. If she didn't get what she wanted, she'd nag him day in and day out.

Just then, another gravity chamber door hissed open, and a little girl stepped out.

"Huh? Philiya, you're here too?" Ausbi'er asked.

"Mm."

Philiya gave her a slight nod, then turned to Kaso and said, "It's settled, brat."

With that, she took off into the sky and vanished in an instant.

"Kaso-nii, what did Philiya want with you?" Ausbi'er walked over, sounding a little curious.

"Just some stuff," Kaso replied, looking at her.

It had been nearly two years since the explosion of Planet Vegeta. That made both Kaso and Ausbi'er about nine years old now. The little girl had already grown to over a meter tall.

Kaso knew that Saiyans had a long childhood phase, maintaining a youthful state well into adulthood. They didn't show signs of aging until the very end of their lifespan, when the decline would hit all at once.

Her jet-black short hair was tied up with a red ribbon. In her starlit eyes, soft light shimmered. Her complexion was like polished jade, radiant as a new moon's halo. A healthy flush colored her cheeks. Though still young, she already stood tall and proud, exuding the poise of someone destined for greatness.

Kaso was momentarily stunned—caught in a daze just looking at her.

"Kaso-nii, the Saiyans have changed so much!" Ausbi'er sighed with wonder.

That tone of hers made Kaso smile wryly. This girl… she wasn't the clueless little tag-along she used to be anymore.

Over the past year, the Lolita Clan had fully integrated with the Saiyans. You could say—"they were in each other's blood."

The Lolita Clan's technology had brought huge changes to Planet Sadala. Not just in daily life, but even in power levels. The Saiyans had improved drastically.

They'd redesigned the gravity chambers to make them more functional—and they'd removed the in-chamber music system, thank god.

They also developed plenty of healing pods. For minor injuries, the Saiyans no longer needed to rely on Senzu Beans.

Otherwise, with the Senzu crop only yielding around 80 beans per month, how could it possibly support the entire Saiyan population?

Now, most Saiyans—excluding support staff—had power levels above 20,000!

Bardock had even reached 120,000, about the same level as the Ginyu Force's captain under Frieza!

Thinking about it got Kaso's blood pumping.

As long as they didn't face beings like Frieza himself or those hidden god-tier bosses, the Saiyans might actually be strong enough to dominate a whole region of the universe!

"Kaso-nii, what are you thinking about?" Ausbi'er frowned and poked him on the waist.

"Nothing much. Just wondering… should we go to Earth?"

The moment he said that, Ausbi'er's cat-like eyes sparkled with excitement. "Really?! Let's go!"

"You just want to eat Earth's food, don't you?" Kaso said, exasperated.

But then—

A commanding voice suddenly came from behind him.

"Kid, did you just say 'good food'?"

Kaso turned around.

Behind him stood a purple, feline-like creature.

He blinked, rubbed his eyes, and looked again.

The creature had a lean frame, sharp purple ears standing upright, a golden torque around its neck, and wore Egyptian-style robes—looking very much like the mythic god Anubis.

No way...

The God of Destruction—Beerus?!

Kaso's pupils shrank violently. His heart started racing, cold sweat breaking out on his back.

If he was here, then…

Sure enough!

Next to him stood a tall, flamboyant man with purple eyes and lips, and a huge pale-blue halo circling his neck.

Whis!

"Who are those two big brothers?" Ausbi'er asked, tilting her head, smiling.

Hearing her voice, Kaso immediately slapped a hand over her mouth. No matter how she struggled, he didn't let go.

What the hell were these two doing on Planet Sadala!?

According to what Kaso remembered, Beerus had already gone back to the God of Destruction's planet to sleep after ordering Frieza to destroy Planet Vegeta!

"The kid's talking to you," Beerus said coldly, looking at Kaso as if he were an insect.

Whis, too, was observing them with great curiosity. Saiyans? But hadn't Frieza wiped them out a year ago?

Beerus had already noticed the furry tails on both Kaso and Ausbi'er. His tone grew amused.

"Oh? Saiyans?"

At those words, Kaso felt like he'd plunged into an eternal ice cave. His entire body went cold, like death was just seconds away.

But Beerus had spoken to him—if he didn't answer now, he might not even exist in the next second.

Kaso hurriedly blurted out, "Yes, Lord Beerus! I found a place with amazing food—truly delicious!"

"You know who I am?"

Beerus narrowed his eyes.

But then again, he had appeared on Planet Vegeta a few years ago. It wasn't too surprising that the boy recognized him.

Still, weren't the Saiyans supposed to be destroyed?

Beerus frowned. Frieza, you little punk… disobeyed me?

Suddenly—!

A wave of destructive energy spread across Planet Sadala. Under its crushing pressure, the planet began to tremble violently, as if it would be wiped out in the next moment.

Far away, at Frieza's HQ…

"Achoo!"

Sitting in his pod, the galactic emperor sneezed.

"Who's thinking about me?"

...

Now that the Saiyans had been discovered by Beerus, hiding was no longer an option.

If they didn't do something quickly, the Saiyans might be wiped out again—and this time, even Goku on Earth wouldn't escape.

Kaso remembered: Beerus had only ordered Planet Vegeta's destruction because King Vegeta had hidden the most comfortable pillow from him.

Which meant… there was still hope!

"Lord Beerus, the food I mentioned really is incredible. Would you like to try it?"

At Kaso's words, the suffocating destructive aura surrounding Beerus slowly faded.

Even Whis revealed a look of eager anticipation.

Among the most powerful beings in Universe 7, the one thing they loved—besides their divine duties—was delicious food.

Beerus stared coldly at Kaso. "If you dare lie to me… the consequences will be severe."
