Husu's ability to foresee the future was genuinely impressive—he'd even accurately predicted the exact location where they'd land.
But now that Kaso had crossed into this world, wouldn't his arrival have caused a butterfly effect? Would Goku still have the same opportunity in the future?
Lying in bed, Kaso thought about it all, but most of it left him puzzled and without answers.
"Mmm… zzz…"
Next to him, Ausbi'er was fast asleep, letting out soft little snores. Her rosy lips opened and closed as she breathed.
Kaso chuckled and gently pulled the blanket up over her. Such a cute little girl—who could possibly resist her?
He had to protect her. He couldn't let her get hurt—not even a little.
Seeing that it was already getting late, Kaso decided to turn in as well. Tomorrow, after all, they would begin learning Instant Transmission.
The Next Day
"Hello, I'm Veil. I'll be overseeing your Instant Transmission training. Please take care of me," said a young Yardratian with a polite smile.
"Nice to meet you! Please take care of us!"
Kaso and Ausbi'er returned the greeting with a bow.
Veil led them through a series of winding paths. Along the way, they passed by many Yardratians. They came in all shapes and sizes, but all had the same pale purple skin.
Their eyes were filled with curiosity. But it seemed word had already spread across the city—two Saiyan children had arrived. No one was surprised. They simply stood to the side, watching with interest.
Veil exchanged greetings with a few of them before continuing forward.
Eventually, they arrived at a stone cave entrance. The entrance looked ancient, weathered by time—its aura reminiscent of old Earth relics like the Egyptian pyramids.
Two guards stood at the entrance, clad in Yardratian battle armor.
If you're unfamiliar with Yardratian armor—think of what Goku wore when he returned to Earth from Yardrat. That was the same gear.
Kaso couldn't sense the guards' power levels at all. That could only mean two things: either they were incredibly powerful—far beyond him—or they were ordinary civilians.
But given this place was a key location, Kaso was more inclined to believe the former.
Back on Planet Mumu, his training hadn't yielded huge gains by the end. But after the three months of peaceful space travel, his power had stabilized and quietly improved.
Currently, Kaso's battle power was around 1500, while Ausbi'er's was close to 1000.
If he still couldn't detect the guards' energy, that meant they had to be above 5000—enough to dominate most of the early Dragon Ball universe, so long as they didn't provoke any major forces.
"Please, follow me."
Veil led the two into the cave.
Inside, it was quiet and cold, steeped in darkness—as if the souls of the dead lurked ahead, waiting to claim those who entered.
Suddenly—
Torches on either side of the passage ignited in bursts of flame, lighting up the gloom like stars in the night sky. The flickering fire guided them forward out of the eerie silence and into the light.
As the flames lit up the corridor, ancient murals became visible along the walls. The carvings were lifelike, seemingly depicting the ancient history of Planet Yardrat.
Unfortunately, Kaso couldn't understand any of it.
The stone walls, blue-green etchings, and weathered bricks all bore the marks of time—carrying the weight of centuries past.
When they reached the end of the passage, the narrow path opened into a spacious underground hall.
It resembled a sealed chamber or secret temple.
All around the hall stood towering stone monoliths. Their surfaces were carved with lines—some deep, some shallow. These lines intertwined and overlapped, making the markings even harder to understand, as if a thick fog was deliberately obscuring the writing.
Veil led them to one of the monoliths and pointed to it.
"This stone records the method for learning Instant Transmission. Each person may only learn two secret techniques from here in their lifetime. You may choose one more later, but only if your spiritual strength is sufficient."
Spiritual strength?
Kaso blinked.
Wait—we need spiritual strength to learn Instant Transmission?
He had been a bit naive, assuming the technique was like learning a new energy blast—simple and direct.
Veil, however, didn't seem worried about whether they'd succeed. After all, the elder had foretold they were destined saviors. Even if they were just children now, surely they could handle one technique.
After instructing them on how to focus their minds on the monolith, Veil left them alone.
All they needed to do was direct their spiritual consciousness onto the stone. The method of training would appear naturally.
"Hehe, I got it!"
Ausbi'er giggled beside him after staring at the stone for a bit.
Huh?
This silly little thing figured it out already? Is her talent really that strong?
Kaso was startled.
But it was true—Ausbi'er's potential had always been exceptional. Despite using the same training methods, her progress had never fallen behind his.
Kaso gently patted her on the head.
"Then go ahead and start focusing, Little Bii'er."
"Mm-hmm!"
She nodded energetically.
Seeing her settle into meditation, Kaso also stopped talking and began focusing his mind on the monolith.
"How do I focus my spirit…?"
He tried to clear his thoughts and focus entirely on the stone.
Suddenly—
His consciousness was pulled in as if sucked by a powerful current—one he couldn't resist.
Kaso's spirit drifted into a world shrouded in dense fog.
It was dark and misty, with no paths, like the dangerous enchanted forests of fairy tales where one could never find a way out.
Then—
A faint white stream of light appeared—like moonlight reflecting off a quiet brook in the night.
So that's it!
The carved lines on the monolith represented this white stream. It was meant to guide your spirit—lead it, carve it into memory…
Half a year later—
In a bustling market, a child suddenly appeared out of nowhere—then vanished in the blink of an eye.
"Phew…"
Standing on a cliff, Kaso let out a deep breath.
He had done it.
He'd actually mastered Instant Transmission in less than six months—and not just learned it, but fully integrated it.
Is it because he had fused with the soul of this body's original owner?
When it came to the mysteries of spirit and soul, Kaso wasn't too clear.
Still, he didn't care—he could do it now. No one could catch him!
Back in the underground chamber, Ausbi'er was still meditating, deeply immersed in learning Instant Transmission.
It wasn't that her talent was lacking.
Even Goku, with his pure heart and martial genius, had needed a full year to learn it.
So Kaso guessed she would need about half a year more.
He sat down to think.
The current year was Age 736.
Only six months remained before Planet Vegeta would be destroyed!
With his current strength, there was no way he could stand against Frieza.
Even a casual ki blast from Frieza's base form would probably kill him!
Would the Saiyans really still face extinction?
Was everything still unfolding according to the original Dragon Ball story?
What should he do?
Right! The Dragon Balls!
Kaso had spent so long in secluded training he nearly forgot about them.
He did the math: if he departed now, he could reach Planet Namek well before Planet Vegeta exploded.
He should have enough time to summon the dragon!
Because he hadn't yet met any Namekians, he couldn't use Instant Transmission to reach them. He had to travel by spaceship. Fortunately, the ship still had Namek's coordinates stored.
"Little Bii'er, you stay here and finish learning Instant Transmission. Leave the future of the Saiyan race to me!"
Kaso muttered to himself.
Having made up his mind, Kaso got moving. He went to inform Supa and Husu of his departure.
Their response?
"Don't worry. Go ahead."
Kaso found his ship and stood before it. He turned and glanced back at the distant Yardratian city.
Little Bii'er… wait for me. I'll be back.
Then—with a burst of energy—his ship roared into the sky, bound for Planet Namek!
