Seeing Luo Sha lying still with his eyes closed, the three of them were instantly shocked.
"Shit, did we beat him to death?!" Obito exclaimed.
"What do we do now? If Luo Sha's dead, who's going to lead us to the gold mine?" Shisui said anxiously.
"I told you to go easy on him! This will be a huge problem if he really dies!" Kakashi complained.
Obito shot back angrily, "You're one to talk! You were the most ruthless just now!"
Hearing that, Kakashi scratched his head awkwardly and chuckled, "Haha, I guess I used a bit too much strength…"
Ignoring him, Obito nervously leaned down and placed a trembling hand under Luo Sha's nose, checking for signs of breath. The three of them held their breath.
Feeling a faint warmth, Obito exhaled in relief. "Phew~ He's still alive. Thank god."
Kakashi and Shisui also let out long sighs, exchanging relieved glances.
"I really thought we killed him," Kakashi said, still shaken.
Shisui nodded. "Yeah, if he dies, we'll never find the gold mine."
Obito rolled his eyes at the two of them. "Scared now? What were you thinking back there? Be more careful next time—don't be so reckless!"
Both Kakashi and Shisui nodded earnestly. "Got it. Lesson learned."
If they had actually killed Luo Sha, it would've been a massive loss.
After all, losing their human gold detector would seriously set them back.
Who else could sniff out those gold veins like he could?
"Let's leave him here to recover for a while," Obito suggested, turning his gaze to the golden mountain in the distance. Greed flickered in his eyes. "We'll focus on selling this gold mine first."
Kakashi and Shisui agreed without hesitation. They understood the value of what lay before them.
Obito placed his hands on their shoulders, and with a flash, the three of them disappeared into the Kamui space.
Some time later...
Luo Sha slowly regained consciousness.
As he opened his eyes, a wave of pain coursed through his body, and he gasped sharply. Even that small movement tugged at the wound on the corner of his mouth, making him wince.
"Damn… they really didn't hold back." Luo Sha trembled, fear lingering in his eyes from the brutal beating.
He felt lucky to be alive—but also knew that next time, if he wanted to live, he'd have to act humble. Very humble.
If they came back and he annoyed them again, they might actually beat him to death.
Luo Sha consoled himself: A real man can bend and stretch. Live first… and take revenge later.
"Be a grandson now, so I can be a grandfather later," he muttered. That was his new survival motto.
He glanced around nervously. Seeing that Obito and the others were gone, he finally relaxed.
He just wanted to leave this hellhole and stay as far away from those demons as possible.
But just then, something caught his eye—a mountain range in the distance.
Luo Sha's pupils contracted.
His expression turned from pain to shock to sheer ecstasy.
"Gold mine… My gold mine!" he whispered, his voice trembling.
The thrill of rediscovering what was once his sent a rush of energy through his battered body. Ignoring the pain, he scrambled to his feet and ran toward the gold mine with everything he had.
He ran like a madman, his mind focused on one thing—gold.
Despite the agony shooting through his limbs, he sprinted like his life depended on it.
Eventually, Luo Sha arrived.
There it was—his treasure, towering before him in all its golden glory.
His eyes welled with tears. Trembling, he reached out to touch the gold ore, savoring its texture and warmth.
This gold mountain once belonged to him. It was the property of the Sand Village.
And now, it had been stolen by those three devils.
But... if the gold was still here, inside Obito's Kamui space, maybe…
Maybe he could sneak some of it back.
That thought lit a fire inside him. The gold might not fully belong to him anymore, but he could still take his share—as much as he could, before they noticed.
With renewed determination, Luo Sha activated his Magnet Release, focusing his chakra on the mountain of gold. He worked quickly and precisely, separating refined gold from the ore and sealing it into storage scrolls.
Outside, in the real world…
"Do you think Luo Sha will really help us refine the gold?" Shisui asked curiously.
Obito grinned, confident. "Who could resist that much temptation?"
"For someone like Luo Sha, who desperately needs money, this is a golden opportunity. He'll refine it himself, hide it quietly… and once he's done, we'll just rob him."
Shisui's eyes sparkled with admiration. "As expected of you—so clever! This way, we don't even have to bother with the refining process."
Obito nodded. "Let him enjoy himself with the gold mine. Meanwhile, we need to find a buyer."
With that, the trio set off once again—this time, heading to different countries in search of someone willing to buy large quantities of gold.
Back in the Kamui dimension, only Luo Sha remained—feverishly working in his stolen paradise.
Sand Village.
Inside the Kazekage's office…
"It's been so many days. Why hasn't the Kazekage returned?" Chiyo frowned, her voice laced with concern.
No matter the outcome of his missions, Luo Sha had always returned on time.
But this time was different. He was missing.
Chiyo's unease deepened. "Could something have happened to the Kazekage?"
Worried, she immediately dispatched people to search for Luo Sha.
After they left, Chiyo rubbed the bridge of her nose, trying to calm her nerves. "I'm in a terrible mood. I need to blow off some steam."
She stood up, picked up a whip hanging on the rack, and walked toward the holding cells.
