Chapter 1 - Prologue- Death

"Xi Ming? To think you were the one who stole my hard earned savings?"

"I loved you and trusted you, but you were the one who set me up, and you were cheating behind my back while i did late night food deliveries"

A man stood in the dark alley, his eyes and hair dark as ink, his face twisted in fury and heartbreak. he glared in disbelief at those people who cornered him,

The alley reeked of sewage and dog piss, and rotten garbage spilled from every corner, attracting swarms of flies and scurrying mice.

Outside, the city celebrated the Spring Festival—people exchanged greetings and gifts, and fireworks lit up a jubilant sky. But in the red zone, where drugs, smuggling, and weapons flowed, fate was unfolding very differently.

As the throng drew near, the man recoiled in terror. He tried to retreat, but his back slammed hard against a wall—there was nowhere left to run.

"Luo Fan! You've already taken my money!"

 "What more do you want?"

A tall, broad-shouldered man in a black jacket stepped forward from the group. He chuckled, the sound low and mocking.

"Hehehe… What do I want?" His eyes gleamed with cruel amusement. "Your death."

BAM!

Luo Fan's punch landed squarely on his face.

The man dropped to his knees. Blood gushed from his nose as he stared in dazed confusion.

"Death? Why? I never even provoked you…" he mumbled helplessly.

"You're right. You didn't." Luo Fan's voice was cold. "But you had the balls to snitch on Master Wang Ji?"

He raised his boot and stomped the man's face into the ground.

"You dared go to the cops? You really thought you'd get away with that?"

The man spat blood, barely lifting his head. "Why not? That bastard's selling drugs to kids… He should be in jail."

Luo fan stopped and stared coldly at the man, he shook his head

'Looks like this guy won't learn his lesson,It seems i have no choice'

The man turned desperately to Xi Ming. "Please, tell him to stop! I'll withdraw the complaint. I'll disappear. I won't ever trouble you again—just let me go."

Xi Ming stepped forward, laughing softly.

"Do you know why I never loved you?" she whispered, her gaze icy.

"Because you're weak. Pathetic. Always begging. It disgusts me."

The man clenched his fists, hate blazing in his eyes.

"What? That look again?" she sneered.

He surged up with a roar, fist raised to strike—

Swoosh

Luo fan slit his throat and looked down on the man who fell down

The man fell down in disbelief, his eyes shocked as he pressed on wound to block the blood from flowing, his hand get soaked in blood

Xi Ming covered her mouth in shock

"Let's go" Luo fan turned around to leave but the dying man grabbed his ankle.

With the last of his strength, he growled,

 "You fucking bastard… You'll die a horrible death…"

Luo fan felt disdain

"Still Stubborn?"

He unzipped his pants and started piss on him

The group of thugs laughed together while watching this scene,

They imitated Luo Fan and pissing on the man

Then they walked away, leaving him broken and alone in the alley.,

The fireworks exploded above him, their colors reflected in his lifeless eyes.

He lay there, blood pooling beneath him, tears streaming down.

He laughed—soft and bitter, the sound of a man mocking his own powerlessness.

And as his soul faded, a single thought remained:

'What did I ever do to deserve this?'

Luo Fan's vision blurred as blood trickled from his mouth. Cold cement pressed against his back, and the last thing he saw was the fireworks in the sky — so distant, so mocking.

"Is this it...?"

"No... this can't be how I end..."

As the final breath left his lungs, the world went dark.

But somewhere beyond the veil of death — far from Earth, far from betrayal — a spark ignited.

A new world.

A second life.

And in it, he opened his eyes again.
