Chapter 35 - VOLUME 1 CHAPTER 35 : MOLDING THE HANDLES

Do you wish to infuse blood to shape your handle?

[Yes] / [No]

Alex answered immediately:

"Yes, I do."

[System]: Use the blood of a monster to shape the essence of your creation.

Stored blood:

• Flash Squirrel

• Mist Serpent

• Fiery Hedgehog

• Acid Wasp Queen

• Obsidian Ant Queen

• Thunderclaw Forest Feline

• Stormbeak

• Black Dragon

• Humans

• Slytherik

Alex thought for a moment, then declared:

"To make it perfect, I choose the blood of the Obsidian Ant Queen."

[Blood of Obsidian Ant Queen selected]

The blood lodged itself at the tips of his fingers. Alex frowned, his finger trembling slightly as he traced the first lines. His movements were hesitant, like those of a child scribbling, but the blood seemed to obey his will, correcting the clumsy strokes.

The lines, at first twisted and irregular, gradually straightened, taking shape: two rough but recognizable handles.

They were neither elegant nor perfectly proportioned, but solid, massive, perfectly suited to his grip. The blood pulsed along the outlines, making them glow with a dark red light before swelling and solidifying into two floating molds in the air.

Alex smirked:

"Eh… not too bad, after all."

[System]: Handle molds created. Awaiting molten metal.

Alex wasted no time and declared:

"Voice command: I want two blocks of obsidian and one Slytherik, then skin them."

[Voice command activated: butchering initiated]

• Blue claws, short but extremely sharp, like shards of ice ×12

• Yellow and blue scales, flexible yet resistant, slightly luminescent ×400

• Yellowish translucent bones, thin but sturdy ×120

• Long, flexible tail, jointed and covered in bicolored scales ×1

• Extendable tongue, blue at the tip, thin and swift ×1

• Front legs muscular with built-in claws ×2

• Rear legs powerful with built-in claws ×2

• Light but sturdy skull with functional jaws ×1

• Sharp, semi-translucent teeth, perfect for slicing ×28

• Flexible dorsal spines, blue and yellow, slightly sharp ×12

• Flank skin, supple yet resistant, mix of bright yellow and deep blue ×1

• Inner limbs (long bones and joints) for structure ×14

Alex quickly declared:

"I'll take the front and rear legs, 32 scales, 8 claws. I want the claws ground down and two pieces of the tail cut."

PROCESSING MATRIX ADMINISTRATOR REQUESTS…

[System]: Grinding initiated. Estimated waiting time: 53 seconds.

Alex sighed, placing his hand on his forehead:

"You wouldn't think so, but forging like this really demands a lot of thought… and I'm starting to get a headache… it's strange."

Time passed, the grinding ending slowly.

[Bone grinding complete]

The powder of the ground bones gathered in a bucket that appeared out of nowhere, while the scales and two tail pieces materialized on the table.

Alex first placed the obsidian blocks at the center of the crucible, his eyes fixed on their dark surface already growing warm. He quickly added the ground bones, sprinkling them steadily over the still-cold mass. Almost immediately, a sharp crackling ran through the furnace, as if the bones were trying to merge with the black material.

Then he sprinkled in the powder of the ground claws. The fire reacted violently: small bluish sparks leapt out and whirled around the mass. The obsidian began to swirl, dark red at the center, with black highlights and crackling white sparks along the edges.

Finally, he simultaneously plunged in the tail pieces and the scales. At once, the mass bubbled, twisting and writhing as if alive, a swirl of shifting colors: deep red, smoky black, and dazzling white.

The tail pieces formed spirals within the molten liquid, while the scales created shimmering fragments across the surface, reinforcing sharpness and solidity.

The whole mass vibrated and rumbled, producing a low hum, as though the matter itself was breathing.

Alex grabbed the incandescent crucible. The red, black, and white liquid boiled and throbbed intensely. He slowly poured the mass into the molds destined for the handles.

The bone spirals, claw fragments, and tail pieces intertwined inside. The mass cracked and sizzled, releasing red, black, and white sparks. The handles took shape, every detail fused and perfectly molded.

Alex finally set the molds on the anvil, ready to move on to assembly with the mini-axe heads.

He took the still-hot mini-axe heads and the solidified yet still malleable handles. He slightly reheated the end of each handle in the furnace so the metal would become perfectly adherent.

He then inserted the handle into the hole beneath the axe head and pressed firmly. The heat and density of the obsidian fused the two elements together, producing a solid assembly. A few crackles and sparks punctuated the fusion, proof that the handle and the head were now perfectly bound.

He let them cool slightly, checking that the whole structure was stable and ready for use.

Once the handles were fixed to the mini-axe heads, Alex plunged the still-hot weapons into the water trough. The thermal shock made the obsidian crackle lightly and released swirls of steam. The water boiled, then gradually evaporated, leaving the mini-axes cooled, solid, and ready for use.

Before him now lay two twin axes. The obsidian seemed to absorb the light, while red glimmers danced across their sharp edges.

Alex admired his creations. The black obsidian was laced with red, yellow, and blue veins, winding like a luminous network. The reflections emphasized the perfect symmetry of the two blades, giving the whole a menacing yet mesmerizing aspect, ready to slice with precision.

Alex smiled with satisfaction:

"This is incredible… a true masterpiece. I've really outdone myself this time."
