Do you remember the royal advisor of the Kingdom of Wessex who refused to help Edward and insulted his father?
Well, his name is Aldhelm, and after Edward left the kingdom, Aldhelm became the ruler of Wessex.
But one day, he wakes up to find himself in a strange place — and sees Alvarez standing before him.
Aldhelm: "Edward? What are you doing here? Where are we?"
Alvarez speaks calmly, his tone both quiet and terrifying:
"First of all, my name is Alvarez now, not Edward. Second, I want you to answer me this question… What was the last thing you said to me before I left Wessex?"
Aldhelm: "What? That's not important! Tell me where I am and what's going on!"
Alvarez raises his hand, forms a pistol from it, and fires at the ceiling. Then he says:
"I'm the one who gives the orders here. Answer my question — or the second bullet will be aimed at your forehead."
Aldhelm, terrified by Alvarez's ability to form a gun from his own hand, answers nervously:
"I… I don't remember exactly. It's been ten years since we last spoke… But I think I said you couldn't conquer Cortan, since it's the strongest kingdom in the world."
Alvarez smiles: "Correct answer. Now come with me."
He leads Aldhelm out of the room, revealing the Kingdom of Cortan before him. Aldhelm is stunned.
Alvarez: "I managed to conquer Cortan and become its new ruler. I fulfilled my father's dream. Right now, I'm making sure the people of Cortan love my father. I forced them to build a statue of him. I made them study his life and story in schools. Anyone who criticizes or insults him is punished.
And do you know the best part of it all?"
Alvarez takes Aldhelm to another room — and shows him Clinton's severed head hanging in front of him.
Alvarez: "Yes… this is the best part. That bastard finally got what he deserved."
Aldhelm: "How did you do this? I can't believe it. This must be a dream."
Alvarez: "You can slap yourself all you want — you won't wake up. This is reality."
Aldhelm: "Well… I'm truly impressed. You've proven me wrong… Can I go back to Wessex now?"
Alvarez smiles: "No."
Aldhelm: "Why not?"
Alvarez: "As you know, I said anyone who insults my father will be punished. And you insulted him in the past."
Aldhelm panics: "I… I don't remember! But even if I did, that was years ago! I'm sorry for what I said!"
Alvarez: "Apologies won't save you. I brought you here from Wessex to carry out your punishment. Don't worry — Wessex won't be without a ruler. When the time is right, I'll return and rule it myself.
And I won't stop there. The entire world will be under my command. I mean, I possess a power that allows me to create any weapon I desire, and the most advanced kingdom is already mine. Why should I stop here? I'll use what I have and achieve the greatest of goals.
As my father once said: We never settle for less."
Aldhelm tries to escape the palace, but as he runs, he crashes into Thordak.
From afar, Alvarez orders Thordak to kill Aldhelm.
Thordak snaps Aldhelm's neck, killing him instantly. Alvarez picks up the body and throws it into a pit filled with the corpses of those who opposed his rule, then fires a massive laser that erases their remains from existence.
Afterward, Alvarez goes to bed after a full day of enforcing his tyrannical rule.
The next morning, he wakes up, washes his face, eats breakfast, does some exercise, and then goes to Klaes's room — just to bother him again.
He opens the door:
Alvarez: "Good morning, greatest sorcerer in the world!"
Klaes: "Didn't I tell you not to enter my room while I'm meditating?"
Alvarez: "How was I supposed to know you were meditating?"
Klaes: "I left a sign on the door."
Alvarez: "What sign?"
The sign is clearly there — Alvarez simply ignored it.
Alvarez: "Anyway, sorry for disturbing you, but there's something important I want to discuss. As you know, I'm now the ruler of Cortan, but I don't want to handle all the responsibilities all the time. Sometimes I want to act freely. So, since you're my favorite subordinate, how about you take my place as ruler for a while? I'll give you a list of what needs to be done."
Klaes: "If I do this, will you stop interrupting my meditation?"
Alvarez: "Yes, of course."
Klaes: "Fine. I agree. Now leave."
Alvarez: "Oh, wait. One more thing — since you're a sorcerer, do you know any spell or method to bring the dead back to life?"
Klaes: "No."
Alvarez: "Really? Are you sure? Can't you learn it or research it?"
Klaes: "I've studied magic for many years. I've dedicated my life to it. There's no spell that can bring back the dead. Magic can do many extraordinary things, but it still has limits."
Alvarez grows annoyed but accepts the bitter truth.
He then walks toward a painting of King Alfred, his father, and says:
"I did it, Father. I fulfilled your dream. I truly wish I could bring you back to life so you could see what I've achieved. I really miss you…"
A servant passing by notices Alvarez talking to the painting and looks at him strangely. Alvarez turns toward the servant and says angrily:
"Yes, I'm talking to a painting. Now tell me — do you think that's strange or insane?"
The servant trembles: "N-no, not at all. It's completely normal, sir."
Alvarez: "Good. Now get out of my sight."
After the servant leaves, Alvarez decides to go watch a wrestling match — Thordak is competing against Cortan's strongest fighters.
Alvarez watches and cheers for Thordak, who wins the fight easily. Afterward, Alvarez goes to Thordak's locker room.
Alvarez: "Well done, champion! That was an incredible performance."
Thordak: "The people of Cortan may have advanced weapons, but when it comes to physical strength, they're nothing compared to the Vikings."
Alvarez: "Speaking of Vikings, what happened to the two I sent to kill Connor and his friends?"
Thordak: "No idea. They never returned or sent any message."
Alvarez: "They're probably dead — or failed and are too scared to come back. Useless."
Thordak: "Should I send more Vikings to finish the job?"
Alvarez: "No. I have another idea."
Thordak: "What is it?"
Alvarez: "I've managed to make some of Cortan's citizens loyal to me — especially criminals who were released from prison. They think I freed them. I'll send one of them to handle the task."
Their conversation ends, and Alvarez visits the repair division — a place where broken machines are fixed.
Alvarez: "Have you finished repairing the metal warrior suit yet?"
Mechanic: "Not yet. You damaged it severely. It'll take more time to fix."
Alvarez: "Just keep working. I have important plans for that suit."
He then returns to his palace after checking all key matters.
But meanwhile…
In one of the gang headquarters, Jito, the gang boss Onen once worked for, is watching the news. He sees Alvarez's total control over Cortan and becomes furious.
Jito: "Back when Cortan was ruled by Clinton, I was running illegal trades — drugs, weapons, anything. I used Onen to kill rival gangs, and Clinton never suspected a thing. Everything was perfect… until this madman appeared out of nowhere, conquered Cortan in a single day, and now wants every gang to serve him."
One of Jito's men says:
"What should we do, boss? From the looks of it, submitting to Alvarez is our only choice — or he'll kill us all."
Jito: "I'd rather die than kneel to some foreign lunatic. We'll resist. I've always planned to overthrow Cortan's rule one day — and that day has come."
Jito walks to a hidden room in his base, opens a door, and says:
"There's a project I've been working on for a while. I spent a fortune creating it."
He lifts a cover, revealing two metal gauntlets charged with immense power.
Jito: "Look at them — beautiful, aren't they? These gauntlets will help us defeat Alvarez and free Cortan from his rule… so I can rule it myself. Prepare the men — today we start a revolution."
Assistant: "Yes, sir."
Jito's men gather.
Jito: "Still no sign of Onen?"
Assistant: "No, sir."
Jito: "A pity. He would've been very useful in this war against that foreigner. But no matter — we'll win without him."
Jito and his men march through the streets toward the royal palace. The Viking guards try to stop them, but Jito claps his gauntlets together, creating a thunderous shockwave — like the Hulk clap — that knocks them all down.
They storm the palace, splitting into groups — some head to Klaes's room, others to Thordak's, and Jito himself goes straight to Alvarez.
Jito: "Your reign ends today, foreigner! Leave Cortan now, or I'll crush you with my fists!"
Alvarez: "Wait, wait — hold on. Let me finish watching the end of this movie first."
He's watching an action film, completely absorbed. The final fight between hero and villain is about to end — and the hero wins. Alvarez frowns.
Alvarez: "What a disappointment. These movies are so stupid. Why do the good guys always win?"
Jito smashes the TV: "How dare you ignore me, you filthy foreigner!"
Alvarez: "No need to be racist, my friend. We're all human in the end."
Jito attacks, but Alvarez dodges. Jito's punch smashes through the wall.
Alvarez: "Let me give you some advice — when you fight someone like me, the worst mistake you can make is showing me your weapon."
He creates identical gauntlets from his own hands.
They clash violently, their punches shaking the palace walls.
Meanwhile, Jito's men burst into Klaes's room and aim their guns at him. Klaes sighs, deciding they're not worth his best spells, and simply throws his purple orbs, which take control of their minds and make them kill each other.
In another part of the palace, Thordak annihilates his attackers with brutal precision.
Back to Alvarez and Jito — they exchange a barrage of punches until they both stop, panting.
Alvarez: "I should thank you. You introduced me to this wonderful weapon."
Jito: "How… how did you copy my gauntlets — and all of Cortan's weapons?! It's impossible!"
Alvarez: "I know it seems strange, but all you need to understand is this — I earned my power. I'm the only one worthy of it."
Jito charges again, but Alvarez dodges and delivers a devastating punch to his stomach, sending him crashing to the ground, unable to move.
Alvarez: "Pathetic. You were defeated by your own creation."
Jito: "It's not over… My men are all over your palace… Soon they'll come for you…"
Alvarez: "Let's see about that."
He drags Jito outside the room — and finds all of Jito's men either dead or captured. Klaes and Thordak did their jobs well.
Jito's face fills with despair.
Alvarez: "Seems your men weren't real men after all. Before I execute you publicly, I'll tell you one thing: You had everything you needed to defeat me — power, numbers, weapons. But you didn't know how to use them. You attacked recklessly, without planning, without thought, assuming victory would be easy.
When I gained my powers and my loyal army, I didn't attack Cortan right away. I thought. I planned. That's why I succeeded. What's about to happen to you could have been avoided — but your arrogance and stupidity brought you here."
He starts a live broadcast across all of Cortan.
Alvarez (on camera):
"Hello, my dear people. I want to share something important. There's a being named Thraxx — a creature born for one purpose: to grant power to those who deserve it. Many have tried to obtain that power, and all of them died. Do you know why? Because they didn't deserve it. They failed every test Thraxx put before them…
Except me. I am the first in history to succeed. The power I possess — the power to create any weapon I desire — wasn't given to me easily. I earned it. I am the only one worthy of it.
And power isn't all I have. I'm also intelligent. I know how to use my gifts, how to build alliances. So if you ever think of defying me — remember, you'll be defying the most dangerous man in the entire world. And your fate will be the same as Jito's."
Then Alvarez crushes Jito's skull on live television. Even children witness the horrifying scene.
After that, all of Cortan submits completely. The people accept Alvarez as their ruler. They obey every command to survive. They even worship his father, the man who killed their queen.
Anyone who ever dreamed of rebellion abandons the thought.
It's just another dark, hopeless day in Cortan.
---
After the execution, Alvarez decides to visit a prisoner — not an ordinary one, but Barfoot, the brilliant inventor.
Alvarez: "So… you're the one responsible for all this technological progress. You're lucky the people here believed you. In other kingdoms, they would've burned you at the stake for witchcraft."
Barfoot stays silent.
Alvarez: "Listen. I'll release you from this prison, but in return, you'll build me a weapon — something like a bomb capable of destroying an entire kingdom. I'll use it to threaten the rest of the world into submission."
Barfoot now faces the same situation he once did — a proud ruler demanding he create a weapon of mass destruction. The cycle repeats.
But… will Barfoot obey Alvarez's command?
.

Barfoot: "Very well, my lord. I'll begin work on the bomb tomorrow."
