Chapter 8 - Protector Of The Young Master 2

Hearing the voice, Rain stopped in his tracks and turned to see who it was only to come in face with a figure the same age as he was.

Behind him were two other chubby figures who were clearly his lackey. Glancing at their chest, he noticed the crest of their sect.

"Wasn't this the crest of The Pure Yang Sect? The Rivals of the Glory Dome Sect?" Rain muttered still staring at the figure.

The main reason the Pure Yang Sect and the Glory Dome Sect were rivals was because one was a dual cultivation sect, and the other was a sect filled with males.

The Pure Yang Sect accepted only male disciples and they cultivated the Extreme Yang Technique causing their attitude to be overbearing.

This is also reflected in their attacks as they were all brutal and murderous.

Besides, The Pure Yang Sect believed Dual Cultivating was just like taking a shortcut, so they would never take its members seriously.

"What do you want?" Rain glanced at the three who had just stopped, his eyebrows raised while wondering why the heck they had stopped him.

"Hand over that sack of herbs and we might let you go away in one piece. You trash from a pig sect," One of the boy's lackeys sneered and stepped forward, stretching out his hands wanting to collect the bag Rain was holding.

Chen who was watching from a distance frowned and gripped the hilt of his sword lightly.

This set of people were at the Foundation Establishment Realm, far stronger than the Young master. And the leader was already at the Spirit Body Realm.

Should a fight break out, there was no way he would win. But then he couldn't just barge in. Since they hadn't hurt the Young master yet.

But the moment they did, that was also going to signify the end of their lives.

"Give you my sack of herbs?" Rain chuckled feeling rather amused,

In the last thousand years, he had not met a group of ignorant and arrogant people like them. They were even more brazen than Feng and his lackeys.

"Why don't you go buy it yourself?" Rain chuckled, his gaze settling on the lackey.

"That's none of your business, hand over the herbs now!" The lackey growled, stepping forward to grab the bag from Rain.

The moment he stepped towards Rain stretching his hands, Rain smiled and took a step backwards causing the lackey who was not expecting this to fall back and trip falling flat on his face.

"How dare you?" The fatty bellowed in rage standing up swiftly and turning around to punch Rain.

"Kai, stop!" The leader of the group finally spoke, commanding the fatty to stop.

"You've got some skills huh?" He turned to Rain who was still watching them with a hint of amusement.

Chen who was watching from a distance had a smile on his face. Seemed like the Young master was getting mature.

The grab from the fatty just now was packed with strength and speed. Yet the young master was able to evade the punch which showed he had improved.

"I don't have time for all of these. Get out of my way, I still need to get back to the sect before night falls," Rain snorted, turning around, preparing to leave.

"Wait," The boy called, stopping Rain from leaving.

"How about you sell this sack of herbs to me?" He suggested, his eyes darting around as though he was afraid of something.

"Nope," Rain rejected almost immediately, his tone firm.

"I'll pay you double," He offered.

"My stuff is not for sale," Rain refused, and before the boy could say anything he stormed off, his figure disappearing into the distance almost immediately.

"How can you just allow him to leave?" One of the lackeys stepped forward wanting to stop Rain as he left.

"If you want to die, then stop him," The leader shrugged turning around and preparing to leave.

Hearing this, the two lackeys instantly realized something was wrong and turned around to leave.

"What happened?" The two couldn't resist anymore just as they left the scene.

"I don't know who that lad from the Glory Dome Sect is, but he sure has someone powerful by his side protecting him," The leader revealed while a streak of sweat rolled down his face.

He was just about to tell Kai to get serious when Chen's voice transmission entered his ears, warning him not to touch even a hair on Rain's body.

Instantly, he knew Rain was not someone simple, this his demeanor changed.

"But wouldn't that affect...."

"Let's go look for the herb somewhere else. At most we can enter the Black forest to hunt for wild beasts and exchange their core for the herb," The leader waved his hand, his figure disappearing into the distance.

Rain on the other hand stopped just as he got closer to the gate of the sect.

Turning to another direction, he bowed lowly and uttered, "Thank you, Uncle Chen," Without waiting for anything he walked into the sect.

He was not a fool and knew if it were not because of Chen who was secretly protecting him. There was no way he would have survived the ordeal today.

He was still weak and had no strength. Defeating Feng was a stroke of luck because the other party looked down on him.

Chen on the other hand was shocked greatly the moment Rain turned in his direction and bowed.

He couldn't believe Rain knew where he was. Seemed like the Young master was no longer the weakling everyone thought he was.

For him to be able to discover his location, not just once, but twice in a row showed he was improving.

If this continued, maybe there was a chance of returning back to the Spirit Realm to reclaim all that he had once lost.

Chen didn't think too much of this and quickly disappeared from the spot. He still needed to contact the Patriarch to tell him of this seemingly good news.
