Chapter 4 - Residual Obsession

"When did I agree to fight you in a month?" Rain chuckled, feeling rather satisfied.

This satisfaction came from deep within his soul and he could feel his body relaxed a little.

"Seemed like the owner of this body has suffered a lot," Rain muttered, a glint flashing in his eyes.

"Don't worry, I'll help you take revenge," He continued closing the door of the room, sitting back on the straw bed and preparing to continue Cultivating.

Sitting on the straw bed, Rain began to cultivate once again, his expression extremely focused.

Five minutes later, Rain's eyes flashed open, disappointment written all over his face.

"This is really bad," He muttered, feeling rather helpless.

Trying to cultivate in this body was like trying to pass through muddy clay water which was already solidifying slowly due to the sun.

The meridians were murky making the passage of Qi through it slow and hard.

He needed to clear the meridians first and make sure it was in its best state possible. Otherwise, even if he were to cultivate for a million years, he would never be able to break through to a high realm and talk more or less about defeating the heavenly emperor.

Besides, the sect Five-years Entry Trial was in only a month.

Also, at this five-year entry trial, any disciple like Rain, who had spent ten years in the sect and had not broken through to the Foundation Establishment Realm would be thrown out of the sect.

If they wanted to stay in the sect since the outside world was cruel, they could only be a servant.

Rain couldn't afford any of these. He needed to look for a way to clear his meridians.

This body needed a lot of work before he would be able to Cultivate it, or else he would just be deceiving himself.

"Let's see how much this little brat has," Rain sighed standing up from the straw bed towards the little drawer where money was kept.

Pulling it open, Rain froze the moment his gaze landed on what was inside the drawer.

"Over a thousand gold Coins?"

Rain was astonished and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. What the heck was this? How the heck did this brat have so much?

He had checked his points and discovered he didn't have any points which was why he decided to see if he had any money.

Could it be that the idiot used all of his points to exchange for money?

That shouldn't be the case, though the Glory Dome Sect points could be used to exchange anything, it was still not that simple.

To get the points, one had to complete different kinds of missions. And to take a mission, one had to be at least in the late stage of the Qi gathering realm.

But he was a Middle stage Qi Gathering Realm, so there was no way he could have gotten all of those points all by himself, it was impossible.

So how was he able to gather this many gold coins?

"Arghh!"

All of a sudden, Rain yelled, collapsing to the floor as a splitting pain hit his brain, a wave of information rushed inside his mind.

Though this pain was nowhere near what he had felt in the past, there was no warning and thus this took him by surprise causing him to fall to the floor.

After a while, the pain subsided and the flow of information also stopped completely.

Analyzing the new memories that had just gotten into his mind, Rain smirked.

It turned out that the owner of this body was from an aristocratic family from the Spirit Realm, but because of his inferiority in the family and his not-so-good talent, he was looked down on by his brothers. But his father doted on him a lot and favored him, giving him more resources than the others, even going as far as looking for rare materials to increase his talents.

For the fear that his father would pass on the position of the head of the family to him, the others plotted against him.

His father, knowing the truth of the situation, quietly sent him to the mortal Realm hoping he would live a normal life, or come back whenever he was strong enough.

After coming to the Mortal realm, Rain joined the Glory Dome Sect and since then he had been there.

Because he didn't want to remember the incident, it had been placed in a deep part of his subconsciousness. So when Rain thought about it, it triggered another wave of pain before he could remember.

"Talk about taking revenge huh," Rain chuckled as he felt his body shaking from anger.

This was the anger buried deep down the real owner's body and also one of his greatest obsessions.

"With just a weak talent and murky meridians, you're still thinking about revenge, huh?" Rain mocked, finding the situation amusing.

By the time the latter was strong enough, he was sure all those he wanted to take revenge on would have either died due to exhausting all of their lifespans or would have ascended.

And that was even if he could stay alive till that time.

"Don't worry, let go of this obsession, I'll definitely take revenge for you on this matter and protect your mother who is waiting for you to get stronger and come back," Rain promised, patting his chest as he said this.

The moment he said this, Rian felt as though a huge burden had lifted off his head.

Now he finally had full control of this body without the disturbance of any obsession.

The obsession left by the other party also contained a wisp of his soul, forcefully controlling Rain sometimes or when triggered which left him really uncomfortable.

But right after this, the soul left and the obsession also disappeared, though it was still imprinted deep, it won't affect Rain any longer.

But of course, he was going to have to keep his promise and take revenge on his behalf.
