This ongoing feud between Lana and Damian was getting more intense by the day. When my sister called me over to her apartment claiming she needed advice, I knew better. Lana never asks for advice—this was her attempt to pull me into their conflict. I wasn't about to jeopardize my friendship with Damian by taking sides, especially knowing how difficult Lana could be when she put her mind to it.
All I wanted was to return home. For weeks now, I'd been troubled by my wife's unusual behavior. Something was off—she seemed anxious, emotional, and her habits had changed. She'd even given up coffee completely, which was unlike her. This morning, her nervous energy was particularly noticeable, as if she was preparing for something significant. I spent my day distracted, eventually deciding I needed to address whatever was happening between us. We'd only been married five months, and things had seemed perfect until these recent changes.
