Damon's POV
I thought we'd reached the peak of the storm with Maya's situation, but fate had other plans. Sasha was supposed to be ancient history, a closed chapter I'd firmly shut. When Hector mentioned her name, confusion washed over me. He had no connection to her, no reason to even know she existed. Then he explained why, and my world collapsed around me. It felt like being hit by a freight train at full speed. I didn't register the glass slipping from my fingers, didn't notice Maya approaching. Everything spun wildly, my vision swimming in and out of focus.
