Maya's POV
I woke up before dawn, my heart racing with anticipation. By the time my family gathered around the breakfast table, I could barely contain my nervous energy. I hurried everyone through their meals, eager to embark on the journey we had planned together. Today marked a significant milestone in my life – I would visit the cemetery as a daughter who finally knew the truth about her origins.
My father had shared that peace lilies were my real mother's favorite flowers, which explained their abundance at our farm. I had asked Cole to arrange for a generous bouquet of these elegant blooms to bring to her grave. I also requested a small arrangement of delicate white flowers for Melody's baby, a tiny soul who never had the chance to experience life.
