Stella's POV
I thought this nightmare had finally ended, but I was wrong. Nathaniel still hadn't forgotten about me. When my mom handed me the letter in front of Adrian, I saw recognition flash across his face. He noticed my nervousness immediately. As soon as we arrived at my apartment, he asked what was wrong. It was time to come clean about everything.
After ensuring Atlas and Miranda were comfortably settled and already asleep, I took a quick shower. When I came out, Adrian was sitting on the bed waiting for me. I retrieved the new letter from my purse and collected the previous ones from the dresser before joining him.
Opening the latest letter, I began trembling uncontrollably, tears streaming down my face. It contained another threat, but this time he was threatening Adrian too. Adrian pulled me against his chest, his hands moving soothingly up and down my back as he tried to calm me.
