Adrian's POV
The tennis courts at the club shimmered in the morning light as I arrived early for my match with Damian. We hadn't played in months, and I was looking forward to reconnecting with my old friend. Finding a comfortable spot near the pool, I settled in to wait, basking in the warmth of the day.
My attention was drawn to a father and son playing in the water, their laughter carrying across the deck. The boy couldn't have been more than five, splashing excitedly while his father pretended to be a sea monster. Something about their interaction stirred a longing in me that I hadn't expected – a desire that had been growing stronger with each passing day.
For weeks, I'd been contemplating something I'd never seriously considered before. But how could I bring it up with Stella? Would she even want the same thing?
"Adrian! It's been so long."
