Stella's POV
"Auntie Stella?" Atlas's voice echoed from inside the house.
"Here on the porch, Atlas," I called back, lacking the energy to move from my comfortable position on the chaise lounge.
He appeared at the doorway, his young face etched with concern as he surveyed my languid form. "Are you okay, auntie?"
"Yes, sweetie, I'm just feeling a bit down today." The fatigue that had been plaguing me for weeks seemed especially heavy this morning.
"Hmm. Do you need anything?" His earnestness touched my heart.
After a moment's consideration, I smiled. "A piece of that chocolate cake from the kitchen with lots of frosting!"
His face lit up with a conspiratorial grin. "I think I'll bring two pieces." He gave me a playful wink.
"Then call Miranda and bring three," I suggested, suddenly craving company as much as chocolate.
