My peaceful days have vanished into thin air. Adrian finally returned from his travels and gathered all of us for dinner. His intention was to get updates about Stella, but the conversation took an unexpected turn when he revealed that her ex-boyfriend had been making threats against her—and against Maya. That information made my blood boil instantly.
After returning home, I tried to have a conversation with Maya about it, but she brushed it off, claiming she didn't even remember being threatened. How does someone forget something like that? But before I could press further, my little temptress distracted me with her irresistible body, and I allowed myself to drop the subject.
The next day, anxiety and concern gnawed at me. Then Sasha called, making everything exponentially worse.
"Hello, darling husband! Have you confirmed our marital status yet?" She was clearly enjoying tormenting me.
