Chapter 76 - Fear

After that headmistress took Adonis far off to avoid him from public eye.

Adonis stood by in daze, his arms crossed, staring blankly at the distant East Wing tower where his so-called master had sparked a scandal of legendary proportions just hours ago.

"Azure Sword Demon… He really is a monster," Adonis muttered under his breath, watching as a few lingering illusion butterflies still floated over the academy skies—remnants of Alaria's fury.

Behind him, the Headmistress had already straightened her robes and turned to leave. She paused at the door and gave him a tired look.

"I'll handle Alaria before she freezes the entire Research Wing," she said with a sigh. "You… should go prepare."

Adonis blinked. "Prepare? Prepare for what?"

The Headmistress raised a brow. "For greeting your master, of course."

With that, she left, her footsteps echoing down the hallway.

Later That Day – Adonis's Room

Adonis had barricaded himself inside his dorm ever since the rooftop disaster, pacing in tight circles like a fugitive awaiting a public trial.

"Stealing the panties of a King-class instructor, and then getting announced in front of half the academy…" he groaned, dragging a hand down his face.

Even though headmistress promised him to suppress his name in the incident he was still not confident enough as there were many people on the spot.

He slumped into his chair, staring at the ceiling.

"I'm definitely going to be branded as 'Pervert King.' Or worse… 'Panty Thief of the East Wing.'"

Needing to confirm the fallout, Adonis reached out to the only person he trusted with damage control—Tyrant.

He already told his friends what happened back then, describing their expressions as shock would be an understatement.

A short while later

Tyrant stood in Adonis's room, arms crossed and expression blank as usual.

"So… what's the damage?" Adonis asked, trying not to sound too desperate.

Tyrant raised an eyebrow. "Surprisingly? Not as bad as you think."

"Huh?"

"Apparently, because of all the chaos and noise, most people didn't catch your name when the drunk man screamed it out. Some thought he said 'Andonis' or 'Adooms' or something else entirely. Plus, the entire rooftop scene was so absurd, most people were more focused on…"

"…On what?" Adonis leaned forward.

"…On Alaria's panties of course"

Adonis blinked. "What?"

Tyrant shrugged. "Yeah. Its like someone twisted some facts driving people attention to the fight and panties, as for the drunk man words mostly discarded as nonsense"

Adonis exhaled a huge sigh of relief. "Thank the heavens… I might actually survive this."

Inside he was secretly thanking headmistress otherwise calling his situation miserable would be an understatement.

"But," Tyrant added, "if people find out you're the drunk man's student, and put two and two together…"

"Don't say it," Adonis groaned.

Tyrant smirked and left.

Adonis sank into his chair again. "It's better than being labeled Pervert King. I can live with this… for now."

Just as he was starting to relax, a strange, familiar voice echoed in his mind—it was Justin, speaking directly through a private telepathic link.

"Oi, student. Stop sulking. Come to the lab. We've got work to do."

Adonis's face fell.

"…Of course."
