After he walked away from the manor he headed straight to the slums where the beggar king lies. There he took out a small pouch filled with coins and dropped it infront of the beggar king.
"Thuff-chsssh"
The sound was heard as the small pouch landed on the ground. The beggar king swiftly stored it and looked to the priest infront of him with an interested expression.
"What info are you looking for? "
The priest then described an old man with a short grey hair, a well cared moustache, with a butler attire. After the priest described it the beggar king let out a small chuckle.
"Looking for a butler eh? You're trying to rob him?"
The priest denied his words while putting back the rest of the coins pouch into his pocket.
"Come on, how could a priest like me do something like that"
As the rains started to slow down the priest looked at his handheld clock. Although the priest denied it a small and unnoticed grin appeared. The priest stored back his handheld clock to his pockets and looked up to the moon before looking back to the beggar king.
"How fast you can get an information of him"
The beggar king let out a small grin as he realised the priest was in a rush and gave him a deal.
"One more pouch filled coins and i'll get all of my underlings to search and spread the info to the beggar community"
The priest reluctantly agreed as it was not the time to consider about money as time was running short and handed him a small pouch filled with coins.
"Alright, in 2 hours i can guarantee you that he will be found"
After that the priest left the alleyway and as he was about to go look for the origin of the poison that was used to weaken the crown prince before his assasination he saw the person he's searching for. An old man with short grey hair and well cared moustache in a butler uniform limping and heavily injured likely from a fight.
"There's no way... "
The priest who was in disbelief snapped out of his thought and chased the butler and the butler who realised the priest is running towards him started running frantically with all his might.
"Damn it, if I've known that the butler would appear here I wouldnt have spent that much money on for his whereabouts! "
The chase was intense as even though the bulter was heavily injured he used everything he saw as a way to hold the priest back.
"Old man! Just give up and surrender! "
Turn after turn and as the butler started to disappear from the priest sight he suddenly stopped as he was met with a dead end. The butler looked back and grabbed a stick and got into a defensive posture while holding the stick. The priest then stopped and tried to convince the butler.
"Look, I get it, I may look suspicious but im not trying to rob you, i came for the record track to prove the princess innocence"
The butler didn't believe what the priest said and still didn't put the stick down.
"Stop with the lies! I know you're from the second princess side!"
The butler became more aggressive than ever as he gripped a log book hidden in his attire. As the priest was thinking of a way to prove he's not from the second princess side he suddenly remembered about the hairpin the youngest princess gave to him before he left. He took out the hairpin to confirm that he's truly from the youngest princess side.
"Oh... Thank god you arrived, the princess told me to keep this log book before she got dragged away"
The butler took a sigh of relief and handed the log book over to the priest after looking to his right and left to make sure that nobody is secretly watching. The priest swiftly stored the log book to avoid it being drenched by the rainwater. But then the priest wondered
"How can i use this to prove her innocence?" But then he had an idea, what if he visited the places that was recorded in the logbook and obtain an evidence to prove that she actually went there. unlike other princesses she's humble and often times chose to visit places owned by commoners. So the chances of the places that she visited had an evidence that she visited there as a trophy is quite high.
"Hmm.. This may got a little bit harder"
A smirk was shown on his face before her ran towards the first place that was recorded in log book. A small restaurant near the market district.
