Amazing would be an understatement for the view before me. It was absolutely breathtaking.
Let's go back a few minutes
Once we reached the top of the long staircase we stood infront of a strange door. Strange, as in, it did not match the exquisiteness of the grand staircase.
The door was made out of dark wood with an ordinary looking knob that was scratched all over.
Azrael placed me back on my feet without looking the least bit like he just carried someone up a flight stairs. I stared at the door while scratching my head.
"Is this what tou wanted to show me?" I asked thoroughly confused and a little disappointed.
Okay, maybe alot disappointed but you couldn't blame me, i was kinda expecting something a little less ordinary.
"You seem disappointed" he noted. Even with thw mask on i could see him raising an eyebrow.
"I am" i admitted, "I was definitely not expecting this."
"Oh, what were you expecting then?" He sounded amused.
'Glad to know one of us is finding this funny' I thought, internally rolling my eyes.
"Oh i don't know something magical maybe" I shrugged. "When you said the the path between worlds, i thought it would be a little less...this" i gestured wildly at the door.
He chuckled not bothering to hide how much this whole thing was funny ti him. I scowled at him.
"Don't judge a book by it's cover Arianna" he reached his hand to open the door. "Some treasures are hidden behind the most unlikely of places or in this case, an ordinary door" he finished just as the door swung opened, in one feel swoop, revealing a whole different universe.
I could feel my jaw touching the ground. Azrael put his index finger under my chin pushed it up to close it.
"Wow" I breathed
"Like I said don't judge a book by it's cover" he extended a hand to me, "shall we?"
I placed my hand in his own, my eyes still wandering around trying to take everything in.
I was mesmerized to the point of speechlessness. Words couldn't begin to describe how enchanting this place was.
There were thousands of spherical shaped worlds each of which were made of differing colors.
Azrael and I walked forward hand in hand on a glass like track.
The worlds hung around us in space, slowly turning and showing of their colors.
The worlds varied in size and the colors; some are larger while others were smaller. Some hade have a mixture of different colors.
Surrounding them was a galaxy of stars.
They were revolving around a blazing sun while a few moon revolved around the worlds.
The number of moons around one world was not the same as another.
"If I have been here before, how did I something so enchanting?"my voice revealed my awe.
"You have never actually been here before" he voiced out.
"But I thought this is the way to go to each world?" I asked confused.
"It is. But it is not the only way i guess" he mused. "I'm not exactly sure how you did it but my theory was that since you had the power to traverse worlds, you can do that without needing to be here."
"So...I can go to any of these worlds whenever I want?" I inquired hopeful.
"Yes and no" he replied. "What I mean is that yes can go to any of this worlds and no you cannot go whenever you want. See you don't have control over this power just yet and if you try to use it, you may end up getting lost not knowing where you are ir how to get back here. This place makes it easier to get to any world you want but you can't choose which dimension."
"Okay i just have one more question though. If I can't go to any world at will, how did i go back to my world those six times i ended up here?
"I think that was your heart's desire at the moment. That may be a way for you to control your powers. Maybe if you are able to channel your essence into what or where you want to go you can use it easily. Image or memory identification could work too. Knowing how the place looks may aid you." He explained.
"Oh i get it. My heart must have the same desire for it to happen. And since at the time my thoughts and heart was only focused on getting back, i was able to" I nodded in understanding.
"Exactly."
"When can i try it out" i asked suddenly excited about this new power.
"When the effectof coming to the inbetween wear off, then we can start your lessons" his lips quirked up in a shadow of a smile.
"Okay, can't wait" i smiled back.
Then we continued down the track wirh Azrael giving me a quick rundown of what i should know about this place.
