Chapter 8 - Awakening the Two-Tomoe Sharingan, Aiming for the Mangekyō

[Over the course of a year, you didn't display anything particularly extraordinary, at most, you started speaking earlier than other babies your age.]

[At one year old, your body had developed enough to start refining chakra. However, due to your small size, the amount you could refine each time was extremely limited.]

[Three months later, your intelligence began to show, but with your intentional restraint, everything stayed within a controllable range.]

[Your subtle brilliance made your parents very proud. They often praised you in front of others, and word of your cleverness gradually spread through the clan. Still, no one paid it much attention beyond a passing comment like, "That child's quite smart."]

[Before long, you turned two.]

When he saw the next line, Su Yang froze.

[One day, after continuously refining chakra over a long period, you suddenly felt your chakra surge, it doubled out of nowhere.]

"Did my chakra just double out of thin air?"

Seeing this, Su Yang was certain, the effect came from the white-tier talent "Small Steps Add Up."

Despite being a white-tier ability, it had an undeniably impressive impact, especially for his current stage.

[With your chakra capacity greatly improved, you shifted your focus and began seeking out any knowledge related to ninjas. But as a child, you had no access to ninjutsu scrolls or advanced materials.]

[Eventually, during one opportunity while your parents were out, you discovered a stash of scrolls and secretly memorized their contents.]

[Three months later, you successfully mastered the basic Three Techniques in secret. However, because Fire Release techniques were too flashy, you avoided practicing them for now.]

[Unable to safely test Fire Release, you instead began training in hand seals.]

[At age 3 years and 3 months, you mastered one-handed seals.]

One-handed seals?!

Su Yang was shocked. That's insane.

"Wait… maybe it's only for a few low-level Fire Release jutsus?" he tried to reason with himself, but still, this was amazing no matter how he looked at it.

[At age four, your chakra levels had reached the level of a genin, but you still hadn't had a chance to practice Fire Release.]

[Aware that showing too much would draw unwanted attention, you kept a very low profile.]

[Eventually, with a bit of strategic whining and pleading, your parents finally agreed to teach you a Fire Release jutsu.]

[Your father began teaching you the Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique. In truth, you had already mastered it, you could even complete the seals one-handed in just two seconds, but you didn't show any of that.]

[A month later, you officially performed the Great Fireball Technique for the first time.]

[Although you held back a great deal, your father still saw you as a prodigy.]

[You weren't too concerned, though. After all, compared to Uchiha Itachi, who showed true genius at four years old, you believed your performance was relatively unremarkable.]

[To your parents, however, you were an exceptional talent. The family celebrated your accomplishment.]

[Seizing the moment, you requested to learn more jutsus. Your father agreed.]

[Three months later, you mastered two more Fire Release techniques.]

[With several more months of practice, you were no longer concerned about being watched while training, though all your progress was carefully disguised.]

[Throughout your fourth year, you focused heavily on ninjutsu training. As a result, your chakra didn't increase much.]

"Learning more ninjutsu ended up limiting my chakra growth?"

Su Yang frowned, but deep down, he had expected this.

Originally, his strategy was to focus entirely on refining chakra, with little emphasis on ninjutsu. But once the simulation began, that plan gradually shifted.

Truthfully, if he were in the simulation's situation himself, he'd probably make the same choices.

After all, with the looming threat of the Uchiha Clan Massacre, mastering ninjutsu earlier could mean the difference between life and death.

"So the simulation still follows my real personality and thought process?"

Su Yang started to get the picture.

[You turned five.]

[At five years old, your strength had reached that of a typical genin, but you continued to act like an ordinary academy student.]

[Then, one day, your father went on a mission, and never returned.]

[You felt a deep sense of dread.]

[Seven days later, the clan head officially announced your father's death. The shock was overwhelming.]
