Aisla's POV
I couldn't sleep.
Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Lucien and Caelan fighting. Heard the sound of claws tearing skin.
Felt the terror of watching the two people I cared about most trying to kill each other.
Because of me.
I sat by the window in my guest room, looking out at the dark forest.
Three days had passed since the fight, and nothing felt normal anymore. Alpha Thorne watched me like I was a bomb about to burst. The other pack members whispered when they thought I couldn't hear.
Even the triplets seemed different around me now. Scared. A soft knock on my door made me jump.
"Come in," I called quietly. Elder Mora slipped inside, moving like a ghost. Her old eyes glowed in the moonlight.
"We need to talk," she said.
"About what?" "About who you really are." My heart started beating faster.
"I don't understand."
