Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Multimillionaire?!

In the living room of the townhouse on the Upper East Side, Sophia sat alone on the sofa of B&B Italia, frowning. On the iMac screen in front of her, the candlestick chart of Blue Ocean Tech (BOT) fell like a waterfall - the stock that was still at the daily limit yesterday, plummeted 15% at the opening today, and the green negative line was particularly dazzling on the Bloomberg terminal.

The stock bar was full of wails of "cutting losses" and "explosion", and Sophia's heart was in her throat. The text messages she sent to Michael fell into the sea, and the last time she called, she was blocked. With Michael's stubborn temper, would he be greedy and not sell? That was Robert and Mary's brownstone apartment!

She grabbed her phone and called Michael with the backup number. After a few rings, a calm voice came from the other end: "Hello?"

"Michael, it's me, you..." Sophia didn't finish her words, the call was hung up, and there was only a busy tone in the receiver. She was so angry that she threw the phone on the Hermès blanket-he even refused to answer strange numbers?

Just then, Elena came in with a bird's nest, and saw the green K line on the screen, her face suddenly changed: "Are you still looking at that junk stock? Just now called Michael again?!" She put the Wedgwood porcelain bowl heavily on the coffee table, "I tell you Sophia, stay away from that rubbish! What does it have to do with you whether he lives or dies?!"

"I'm just worried that he will lose the house!" Sophia stood up.

"None of your business!" Elena screamed, "This poor guy is just a shit luck even if he makes money, he will lose it sooner or later! You should think about Alexander Wang! I have already arranged for the Wang family, and we must go to Per Se for dinner this weekend!"

"I won't go!" Sophia refused.

"How dare you!" Elena pointed at her, "Alexander's family is worth 2 billion, you'll be a Manhattan socialite if you marry him!"

"I have Vogue Advertising!"

"Can your company compare with the Wang family? Women should know how to leverage power!" When the mother and daughter were arguing, Mark pushed the door open, cursing, his LV sweatshirt wrinkled.

"Unlucky! I ran into Michael, that loser, when I went out!" Mark drank a whole glass of Perrier, "I'm so angry! He's not a loser now, he's a multimillionaire!"

"What?" Elena thought she had heard it wrong, "Who is the multimillionaire?"

Sophia also looked at her brother fiercely. "Michael!" Mark shouted excitedly, "I just ran into him at the door of Per Se, and heard from his friends that he made 10 million US dollars in a few days of stock trading!"

10 million US dollars? ! Elena and Sofia were stunned at the same time. Elena was the first to react: "Impossible! What does he know about US stocks? He must be bragging!" She pointed at the iMac, "Look at how bad BOT has fallen!"

"Not BOT!" Mark waved his hands irritably, "His friends said he cleared his positions at the highest point! Now he wants to trade foreign exchange, and he wants to bring his friends with him!"

Cleared at the highest point? Sofia's heart was pounding - if it was true, Michael not only did not lose money, but also caught that surge? This realization made her dizzy, with both shock and inexplicable complex emotions.

"Shit luck!" Elena's face was livid, "Foreign exchange trading? Wait and see, he will soon go bankrupt and sleep on the street!"

Sophia pursed her lips, 10 million US dollars, can Michael hold on? The foreign exchange market is more dangerous than the stock market, can he really be lucky forever? She subconsciously clicked on the message from Lily on her phone: "Mr. Chen, Michael bought a Bentley on Fifth Avenue today. The license plate number is '10M'." Outside the window, the skyscrapers in Manhattan were brightly lit, and she suddenly realized that her ex-husband, whom she once looked down upon, was reshaping his life in a way she could not understand.
