Chapter 80 - The normal life of Liam and his piggy girlfriend, part 1

The morning sun filtered through the blinds, painting patterns of light across **Liam's** desk. With a lazy yawn, he stretched, feeling a slight crack in his bones. Liam wasn't your typical movie genius; yes, his mind worked a mile a minute, connecting dots and solving problems that took others days, but he was, above all, a normal high school kid. He liked playing video games, hated broccoli, and was madly in love with his girlfriend, **Chloe**.

Chloe was the sunshine of his days. Her laugh was contagious, her brown hair fell in perfect waves, and her eyes, a warm honey color, always sparkled with a mischievousness that Liam adored. They had known each other since childhood, and their love had blossomed as naturally as spring flowers.

As he got dressed, Liam thought about the day ahead: advanced calculus class, a group physics project, and best of all, lunch with Chloe. He checked his backpack and grabbed his wallet, noticing a message on his phone:

**"Morning, brainiac. Almost there. See ya at your door."**

It was from **Marcus**, his best friend since childhood. Marcus was Liam's antithesis in many ways. Tall, athletic, with dark skin that always seemed tanned, and a smile that disarmed anyone. He was the life of the party, the group's joker, and a brother to Liam. And also, curiously, incredibly close to Chloe.

Liam went downstairs and found his mom in the kitchen. "Morning, honey. Ready for another day of conquering the world?" she asked with a smile.

"Almost, mom. Just need some coffee and... oh, there he is," Liam said as he heard the doorbell.

He opened the door, and there they were. Marcus, leaning against the frame, backpack slung over his shoulder and a radiant smile. Beside him, Chloe, in her impeccable uniform with her hair tied back in a ponytail, revealing her neck.

"Hey, guys!" Liam greeted, patting both of them on the back.

"Liam!" Chloe exclaimed, giving him a quick hug. "Good morning, love!"

As they walked to school, conversation flowed effortlessly. Marcus talked about his latest basketball game, Liam commented on a new algorithm he'd been exploring, and Chloe shared funny anecdotes from her art class.

Upon reaching the lockers, Marcus said goodbye to head to his first class. But before leaving, he leaned slightly towards Chloe. "See you at lunch, Chloe. And you, Liam, don't get too smart in physics," he teased, ruffling his friend's hair.

"Hey!" Liam protested, laughing.

Marcus winked and, almost instinctively, leaned in and placed a soft kiss on Chloe's cheek. It was a usual gesture, almost a custom between them, an affectionate greeting that didn't surprise Liam at all. Chloe smiled, a slight blush on her cheeks, and then turned to Liam.

"Ready for our history class, brainiac?" Chloe asked, taking Liam's hand as they headed to the classroom, Marcus's laughter still echoing down the hallway.

For Liam, it was just another normal day at school, with his girlfriend, his best friend, and the promise of a day full of interactions that, to some, might seem unusual, but for them, were simply part of their sweet and peculiar normalcy.
