Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

So, the color of a chakra does differ according to the person.Kazu had asked a few people amongst the rebels what their chakra color was. Besides a few, every single shinobi had colorful chakra.

This basically meant that the depiction of chakra in the anime was fake. In reality, the color of a chakra varies according to the person.

So does it depend on one's chakra element or their personality?

Itachi had the fire chakra element, and his Susanoo was red. Sasuke's Susanoo was purple, and his elemental nature was both fire and lightning. Red and blue make purple.

So does that mean my chakra nature is fire?

As Kazu thought more, the more and more his theory seemed improbable. His theory on chakra nature was quite absurd since it was based on the Uchiha's Susanoo—jutsus that could be considered anomalies of the ninja world.

Why would someone need a chakra element test if they could find their element just from their chakra color?

He sighed and again went inside the cave to meditate. After about an hour, his chakra reserves were almost half-filled from the quarter he had left previously.

If he were completely drained of chakra, it would regenerate in just four hours.

Would exhausting my chakra reserves cause them to become larger?

He recalled a concept he remembered long ago from an isekai light novel he had read.

No, it wouldn't work like that. The only way for me to gain more chakra is to accumulate more Yang energy.

Chakra was considered one's life force. Depleting it constantly would mean living on the brink of death.

That was not only harmful but stupid as well. No one in their right mind would dare do such things—including Kazu.

I can train my body to gain more Yang energy, he thought. And thus, my mixage of Yin and Yang energies would be almost one-to-one. This would make my chakra more pure and neutral in a sense, allowing for greater versatility.

Yet, as an Uzumaki, his vitality and this Yang chakra would continue increasing. But his Yin chakra wouldn't increase much—since his IQ wouldn't increase.

Maybe the Yin chakra more or less depends upon knowledge rather than IQ. Otherwise, it couldn't really be increased—which is paradoxical to the nature of chakra.

The entire world of Naruto was filled with contradictions and paradoxes. This was one of the reasons why the anime wasn't considered great by many, but it was also one of its strong suits since it allowed the viewer to make their own theories and assumptions, and the chakra still felt like a magical wonder.

As he sat cross-legged, he diverted his consciousness from his thoughts.

In his mind, he felt like a fish in an endless, dark ocean. The world felt dark and cold, yet in the distance lay an ever colder pool of oily red liquid that was suspended over the ocean. Although barely visible, it still seemed to brighten the ocean to a degree.

This was a visualization he made for harnessing his chakra, since the usage and diversion of one's chakra depended on their imagination.

He rapidly moved his legs, swimming towards the pool of red liquid suspended above him. He felt cold all over; it wasn't cold in the sense that would make him shiver, it was more like taking a cold shower on a hot summer day, and he liked this feeling.

With his arms outstretched, he grabbed the chakras from the pool and extended his consciousness outwards to the real world.

From even more chakra pathways and tenketsus, chakra flowed out in a steady stream of a red fluid.

At this rate, he would unlock the entirety of the 361 chakra tenketsu within a few months, a feat that took many several years.

But unlocking chakra tenketsu was not his primary goal. By just opening the few openings he had in his palms, he could use them to imbue his kunai with chakra.

This was an idea that he had come up with himself a week ago.

Yet, he couldn't do it just by himself since it would be quite dangerous. He wanted to seek the help of the rebel leader Arashi. Just in case he was brewing something dangerous.

The boy moved out, finding the jounin to be looking at a map, one that was spread out over a log. He looked to be examining the terrain of the island. Shinobi must use the terrain to their advantage.

"Mr. Arashi." Kazu called out to the man; the jounin turned his head towards the boy.

"I believe I have managed to unlock a few tenketsu." The boy told the man, who started walking towards him.

"Didn't I say that it was dangerous?" The man said with slight anger in his voice; a moment later he sighed, "I always tend to underestimate that mind of yours."

"Since you've honestly told me about this, you should have already taken the risks into account." At this remark, Kazu smirked cheekily, "You witted devil."

The man was aware of the boy's intelligence and genius; mastering kunai throwing equivalent to a Gennin after three weeks of laying his hands on a kunai was no small feat.

The man sighed as he rubbed his elbow against the boy's hair. with a pained expression, Kazu escaped the man's tight grasp.

"Hey, don't do that!" Angrily, Kazu told the man. He threw a punch into the air, enraged.

"Alright, Alright." The man said, raising his palm defensively, seeing the kid calm down, he said, "Enough fun for now. Show me your control over chakra."

"Okay, wait." Kazu said he closed his eyes slightly, entering the ocean in his mind and tapping into the pool of red liquid. He opened his eyes and raised his right palm, from which a reddish hue emerged.

"Why the delay?" He asked Kazu, who looked confused.

The man pinched the bridge of his nose. He repeated his sentence in different words: "Why did you need to close your eyes and wait a second?"

"What do you mean?" The boy was perplexed. "Don't you need to concentrate to tap into the chakra pool?"

The man raised an eyebrow. "No, usually one's chakra pathways are blocked, like stuffing a pipe; flowing chakra through them removes the stuffing."

Kazu needed to grab the red liquid from the pool every time to push chakra. He even thought the act was normal to shinobi.

"But I feel like my pathways are always stuffed like that." A moment passed. "Perhaps I'm too young."

"No, You're definitely old enough." Many shinobi started their training even earlier than Kazu; they still had no problem conducting chakra.

"It could be a mental blockage or chakra illness." The man said sincerely, and and he glanced at the distance where a woman was skinning a boar.

"Perhaps our medic, Sashi, has an idea." The jounin walked towards the medic as Kazu followed behind him.

"Captain Arashi." The woman greeted the man with a slight bow of her head.

"Sashi, Look into the kid's chakra system." The man told her as he gestured towards Kazu, "His chakra pathways don't seem to open."

Kazu bent down and sat next to the medic, who put the skinning knife down and wiped her hand with a cloth.

Sashi weaved a few handsigns, and a hue of blue appeared on her palm. An examination technique that detected chakra inside the body.

"Try to release chakra." She said with her melodious voice, and Kazu nodded and closed his eyes for a few seconds, reentering the ocean and pulling the red liquid.

Shocked, The medic said, "T-This is a rare chaka illness."

A second passed; Kazu didn't know what to say.
