The Mortal Multiverse : Liam Raven Harper

3rd Person POV
Bruce stood there in the quiet training ground, his right fist raised. The faint golden mist shimmered around his knuckles, fragile yet undeniable.
Jackie and Uncle were both frozen in disbelief. For several long moments, the only sound was the faint sound of breath from the three of them.
Uncle was the first to move and stepped forward, eyes narrowing sharply as he grasped Bruce's wrist and held his fist up closer and adjusted his glasses. His bushy brows furrowed deeper with every passing second.
"This… this is impossible," Uncle muttered, his tone both awed and alarmed. "You have not even formed a Lotus seed, yet your chi is manifesting outside your body. Manifestation should not happen until Lotus Bud and years of internal cultivation!"
Jackie leaned closer, still wide-eyed. "Uncle, I've never seen anything like this. Even monks I've met in Shaolin didn't do something like this without the Lotus stage."
Uncle let go of Bruce's wrist and began pacing in a tight circle, one hand on his chin while the other waved animatedly as if trying to grasp the concept itself.
His voice grew more intense, the way it always did when lecturing about chi.
"Listen, Bruce. To properly manifest chi beyond one's body, there is a path every practitioner must follow. First, the Lotus seed is formed—it is the foundation, the very core that stabilizes the inner flow. Without a seed, there is no anchor. Then, with years of careful nurturing, the seed grows into a Lotus bud. This bud becomes the focus point, the eye of the storm. Through it, one directs chi outward safely, with precision, without harm to themselves or others."
He stopped pacing and stabbed a finger into the air toward Bruce's fist. "Yet you… you skipped all of this! You are manifesting chi with nothing but intent! That is reckless!"
Bruce swallowed. His excitement dimmed a little as Uncle's tone hammered into him.
Jackie stepped in, his voice calmer but still serious. "What Uncle means is that what you're doing isn't just different—it's dangerous. Normally, we train for years to build that focus point, the Lotus bud. Without it, it's like… trying to swing a sword without a hilt. You can hurt your enemy, yes, but you can also slice your own hand."
Uncle shot him a glance. "Bah! Sword without hilt is too kind! This is like child playing with fire in a library full of scrolls!" He waved his hands furiously. "One spark, and everything is ash!"
Jackie sighed but didn't argue. He turned back to Bruce. "Think about it. Your chi listens to your thoughts, right? If that's true… what happens if your thoughts wander? What if you get distracted?"
Bruce's expression stiffened. He remembered the moment last night when his chi had answered him.
He hadn't controlled it—he had just visualized a strike, and his chi had flowed to his fist as if obeying him. His voice came out uncertain. "I… I wasn't actually controlling it. I just visualized what I wanted, and my chi… it answered. It moved by itself."
Uncle's eyes narrowed. He folded his arms and gave a sharp nod. "Exactly. That is the danger. Unlike Jackie's chi, unlike mine, yours does not follow strict discipline. It has its own will. That 'Will' is listening to you, responding to every flicker of intent."
Jackie meet Bruce's gaze directly. His tone softened, but his words cut just as deeply. "So imagine this, Bruce. You're dreaming at night, and in that dream, you lash out at something scary. Your chi listens. What if it lashes out in the real world while you sleep? What if you're distracted in a fight, thinking of something random, and your chi takes it as an order? Someone could get hurt. You could get hurt."
Bruce's stomach tightened. The thought of his chi reacting to a stray nightmare or wandering thought made his skin prickle cold. He glanced at his hand again. The faint mist had faded, but the memory of its glow still burned in his eyes.
Uncle resumed pacing, his voice carrying the heavy tone of warning he so often used. "Chi is life force. It should be like river—steady, contained, flowing within its banks. When it bursts out without control, it floods, it destroys. You must not allow this to happen, Bruce." He stopped abruptly, leaning forward with a piercing stare. "You must build discipline! Anchor your chi properly! Or one day, it will consume you."
Jackie placed a firm hand on Bruce's shoulder. "Uncle's right. I know this feels like a gift, but it can just as easily turn into a curse. That's why we have to be careful. We'll help you, okay? We'll train you the right way. You're not alone in this."
Bruce nodded slowly, trying to absorb their words. His mind was racing. His chi had felt like an ally last night, a partner that responded to him with perfect timing. But it truly had a will of its own… and was also unpredictable? What if it misunderstands him at the wrong moment?
Uncle exhaled sharply, muttering under his breath. "Hmph! Wild chi… just like I feared. Too much power, too little restraint. Dangerous, dangerous…" Then he looked back at Bruce and raised a stern finger. "From now on, you must not try to manifest chi outside your body again—not until we are certain you are ready. No experiments. You will train as I say, step by step, with discipline. Understand?"
Bruce straightened his back and gave a firm nod, though a flicker of determination glimmered in his eyes. "I understand, Uncle."
Jackie gave him a small smile, though it was tinged with concern. "Good. Because this isn't just about power, Bruce. It's about control and control… that's what separates a master from a danger."
Bruce clenched his fist, staring at the knuckles that had glowed golden only moments before.
He could still feel the faint warmth lingering there.
Inside, he thought 'So my chi really does listen to me. It feels alive… almost like it's waiting but if Uncle is right… then I'll have to be even more careful. I can't let this power hurt anyone.'
Uncle sat down and poured himself another cup of tea, though his hands trembled slightly.
Jackie stood tall beside Bruce, watching him carefully and in the quiet of the morning training hall, Bruce realized this was only the beginning of something far greater—something that could either make him strong… or destroy him.
Uncle finally set his teacup down with a quiet clink, his brows furrowed so deeply that the lines on his forehead looked carved by years of hard lessons. Jackie stood silently beside Bruce, arms folded, eyes flicking between Uncle and his young cousin. The training ground was still, the faint scent of incense mixing with the morning chill.
Uncle's gaze lingered on Bruce for a long while before he finally spoke, his voice steady and grave.
"From now on, you will no longer play with intent like a toy. You will use your intent to create the Lotus seed. That is the only safe path forward. Once the seed is born, you will nurture it carefully into the Lotus bud. Only then, only then, will you be ready to manifest chi outside your body without danger."
Bruce nodded silently. The firmness in Uncle's voice made him understand this wasn't a suggestion—it was a command.
Uncle continued, his tone sharper now. "This holiday, I will personally teach you. No excuses, no laziness, no distractions. By the end of this break, you must show progress toward forming your Lotus seed." Uncle's eyes hardened like steel. "One more thing! If no progress…You will not be allowed to attend school. It would be too dangerous for you, and for everyone around you."
Jackie glanced at Uncle, startled. "Uncle, that's… a bit harsh, isn't it?"
Uncle snapped his head toward Jackie "Harsh? Aiyah! This is life and death! One wrong thought, one stray intent, and his chi could lash out in class, in the street, anywhere! What if it hurts someone? What if it destroys something important? School can wait. Safety cannot."
Jackie exhaled slowly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I get it, Uncle. I do. But don't you think that's a lot of pressure for him? He just discovered this."
Uncle huffed and waved his hand, dismissing the argument. "Pressure is necessary. Without pressure, no diamond forms! Without discipline, no chi cultivator survives." His eyes snapped back to Bruce. "Do you understand me, boy?"
Bruce swallowed, then nodded firmly. "I understand, Uncle. I'll focus on training."
For a moment, silence filled the training hall again, broken only by the faint creak of Uncle leaning back in his chair. He picked up his teacup, though he didn't drink right away, lost in thought. Jackie still looked uneasy, but Bruce could feel something different stirring inside himself.
Last night had felt incredible—the rush of power, the golden mist around his fist, the certainty that his chi was alive and answering him. But… he still didn't know what had happened to Feng after that strike. The thought tightened his chest. What if I hurt him more than I realized?
His eyes lowered. I'll call my friends later. I need to know if Feng's okay.
But right now, he had to focus.
Uncle finally set his teacup back on the table with finality, as if the conversation itself was sealed. "Good. Then this long holiday will not be holiday. It will be training camp. Dawn to dusk, discipline, focus, intent. You will eat, you will meditate, you will train until your Lotus seed begins to stir. This is your task, Bruce. No exceptions."
Bruce clenched his fists, determination lighting up his features. "Yes, Uncle."
Jackie gave him a small, encouraging smile, patting him on the shoulder. "Looks like we're in for a long break together. Don't worry—we'll get through this. I'll be here to train with you too."
Uncle gave Jackie a pointed glare. "Do not coddle him. He must earn it."
Bruce hid a small smile. Inside, his resolve solidified. He had always dreamed of training like the heroes he'd admired like Jackie. Now, here it was, real and in front of him.
His holiday wasn't going to be rest and leisure. It was going to be sweat, strain, and discipline.
A true training camp.
And he was ready.

The Mortal Multiverse : Liam Raven Harper
Synopsis: In a world where legends and icons coexist, the extraordinary is stripped of superpowers and grounded in human ambition.
Here, Captain America stands as the first and only enhanced soldier, now a seventy-five-year-old leader of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Tony Stark is a genius heir working under his father and runs the R&D department of Stark Industries.
Bruce Wayne has vanished from public life for three years, while figures like Joker, Deadshot, Norman Osborn, and Dr. Octavius manipulate the shadows of crime and power.
On the lighter side, sitcom icons such as Charlie Harper, Sheldon Cooper, Barney Stinson, and Harvey Specter play their roles in this strange but vivid reality.
Into this intricate world awakens Liam Harper, the younger brother of Charlie and Alan Harper, son of the sharp-witted Evelyn Harper. Unlike the others, Liam carries a secret—he has been reborn from another Earth, equipped with a mysterious AI assistant and a unique system granting access to powerful potions.
But Liam's existence is no accident. The God of Entertainment, a capricious deity who thrives on drama, conflict, and spectacle, has placed him here for one purpose: to entertain.
Every relationship Liam forges, every enemy he faces, and every decision he makes is part of a grand performance meant to captivate the god's gaze.
Balancing his career in law with the dangers of enhancement, Liam must navigate a high-stakes landscape of cutthroat corporations, political intrigue, and ruthless villains.
From courtroom battles to boardroom wars, from sitcom hilarity to criminal underworlds, Liam's journey will demand every ounce of wit, courage, and strategy he possesses.
In this world, survival isn't about capes or powers—it's about money, influence, and the razor's edge of human enhancement. And as the God of Entertainment watches, the question remains: will Liam rise as a player in this multiverse of legends, or become just another forgotten act in the show?
