The vibes are definitely weird.
Noel almost wishes he had a reason to leave the apartment, but he and Jade are both off this weekend, with no escape from the bizarre tension hanging in the air. Even Jaqueline comments on it, when she arrives to serve breakfast and meal prep for the upcoming week.
"Everything alright?" she asks brusquely, setting a whole rasher of bacon on the table.
"Yes," Noel answers for both himself and Jade, who now has bacon in his mouth. "It's just been a long week."
She hums, and from the sidelong look she gives them both, Noel can tell she's seen the stories about them online.
After breakfast, Noel retreats to his room and tears through nearly half a sudoku book, headphones in and music blaring. The number puzzles usually help to steady his mind, forcing him to focus on only one thing, but for some reason, today is the day he's finally learned to multi-task, because he finds it quite easy to think about the numbers and Jade at the same time.
