"Thank you so much for dinner tonight, Harumiko," Hiroshi said with a smile as they reached Harumiko's doorstep. He expressed his gratitude.
Harumiko smiled. "I should be thanking you. If I'd gone to your place and you weren't home, I wouldn't have known what to eat tonight," she replied. She reciprocated his thanks.
They both laughed. They shared a laugh.
"Why don't you come inside for a while, Hiroshi?" Harumiko opened her door and smiled invitingly. She invited him inside.
Hiroshi shook his head with a smile. "No, no, you should go home. I'm a little tired and want to go to bed," he declined politely. He politely declined her invitation.
Harumiko nodded with a smile. "Okay, you should go home then. Remember to come get me early tomorrow morning; we're going to the hospital to see your aunt!" She reminded him of their plans.
Hiroshi nodded, said goodbye to Harumiko, and headed home. He said his goodbyes and headed home.
"Thinking about it, it's a shame. If I were a little older, and she invited me in, I would have gone. Doesn't every guy know why a girl invites a guy to her house?" Hiroshi thought as he walked home. He reflected on the situation.
Both Hiroshi and Harumiko understood that such a thing wasn't possible yet. They were still young. When they were older, no one would interfere with their feelings. They knew their age was a factor.
They were still children and needed to prioritize their studies. Romance could wait until they were older. Relationships could wait until they were older.
"Today was so much fun! I'll take a shower, go to bed early, and tomorrow morning, I'll go to the hospital with Harumiko to see Kushina-aunt!"
"After the hospital, I'll go out with Harumiko. Just thinking about it makes me happy. I always have so much fun when I'm with her!" Hiroshi thought happily. He looked forward to the next day.
Hiroshi soon reached his doorstep, opened the door, and entered. The house felt empty and lonely again. He entered his empty house.
"No matter what, home is still home. Even though I'm alone now, I won't be alone forever. Maybe someday I'll live with Naruto," Hiroshi murmured, looking at the empty living room. He looked forward to the future.
Hiroshi turned on the lights, took off his clothes, and prepared to shower. He was tired from the day and the large meal. He was tired and full.
"Time for a shower, then bed. I need to wake up early tomorrow to go to the hospital with Harumiko to see Kushina-aunt," Hiroshi thought, looking at his clothes on the bed. He prepared for the next day.
