Chapter 58 - Humility.

Kopii lay staring blankly at the ceiling. He didn't know how many days or hours had passed. Getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom, he approached the mirror and saw a gaunt face and prominent bags under his eyes.

"Do you think you can hide from all your problems?"

"Shut up."

Dunking his head under the stream of cold water.

"Hahaha, look at yourself, you've become so pathetic. You killed one loser and that's it."

"Shut up."

Looking up at the mirror, Kopii met his reflection, but with black eyes.

"How can we be one?"

His face twisted in disgust.

"Shut up. You're just my imagination."

"You can think what you want, but we both know the truth."

"You're just in my head. You're just in my head."

Grabbing his head, Kopii struggled like crazy.

"Hahahaha, you're just my imagination."

"Stop deceiving yourself."

"STOP!!!"

Kopii screamed, hitting the mirror.

"Ah ha ah ha. Do you think that will help?"

"Just leave me alone," Kopii said quietly.

"Ahahahahaha," a loud laughter echoed in his head. "No, no, no, Kopii, we are one. Wherever you go, I will always be with you."

Kopii decided to simply ignore this voice. Kopii didn't know who it was or when it appeared.

"It's just a delusion," Kopii thought.

"Hey, did you say something there?"

"Shut up," Kopii whispered, heading towards the exit of the basement.

"Hey, hey, do you want to go for a walk again? But, seeing how Kopii was silent, he said, "Have you already forgotten those looks?"

Upon hearing those words, Kopii's body unconsciously tensed.

"It's just my imagination… like you. Nothing more."

"Are you sure about that?" But, seeing Kopii's silence. "But okay, you can continue to ignore me. You do it so well. You just need to cope and ignore all your problems. Ahhaha, a pathetic sight." The whole next way Kopii was in silence, until Kopii got to his destination.

After a while, leaving the store, holding a face mask. Even if it was a child's mask, he didn't care. He just wanted to get rid of those looks. The mask helped him become more daring.

"Do you think you can hide from all problems behind a mask? What a stupid idea. But what else would I expect from you."

"I don't care what you think."

Putting the mask on, Kopii whispered. Feeling the cold touch of the mask on his face, Kopii felt more confident. Even if there was poor visibility in this mask, he just didn't care about it. He just wanted to hide from all these looks, even if they are only part of his fantasy.

"No, Kopii, you're wrong. I told you that we are one, so it's correct to say not 'you,' but 'we.' You understand, right?"

"Just shut up."

"Look, mom, mom, that uncle is talking to himself," pointing at Kopii.

"Don't look at him."

Watching the mother lead her child away from him, he sighed.

"Look…"

"Shut up," Kopii interrupted him. He didn't want to listen to the annoying comments of his fantasy about this. Some time later, lying on the bed and taking a sheet of paper with Reyven's desire. But no matter how much he looked at these beautiful patterns, he could not understand them.

"Are you looking at this piece of paper again? Do you think if you look at this piece of paper every day, you will get smarter?"

Putting the sheet back in the closet.

"I knew of course that you were stupid, but not that much. You managed to amaze me, Kopii."

Kopii frowned at his words.

"Yes, you're right that we are one. But even so, why can't we be different from each other?" after a short pause, he continued: "Do you know what we different? Seeing Kopii's silence, he continued: "Our views. As we are one, absolutely everything, everything you know I also know.

"And what are you trying to say with that?"

"Are you stupid? I said our views are different. Why should I chew everything for you? How can I be so stupid?"

"Just say it or shut up."

"As I said earlier, we have the same memories, but different perceptions of them. In short, we understand the same information differently. Understood or not? I can explain it even a thousand times for the stupid."

"Shut up, I understood."

Turning on the light and going to sleep, he thought about the whole situation and about how to solve it. He fell asleep under such thoughts.

"Get up."

"Get up."

"Get up."

"Shut up," Kopii mumbled, but the voice in his head only intensified.

"Come on, get up, didn't you plan to go down to the dungeons today? It's been a whole week since you went down to the dungeons, or will you hide in your inner world from all the problems again, but you know, even then I wouldn't be surprised."

"Shut up. Can you ever shut up?!"

Rubbing his sleepy eyes and getting out of bed. It was the second nightmare-free night already.

"Does time heal, was it true?" thought Kopii, washing his face. He roughly knew that Reyven had died plus or minus two weeks ago. Two weeks of simple inaction.

"Look Reyven was so important to us. That you accepted that he was killed in just about two weeks. This will proves how important he was to ours."

"If we're one. Then I don't have to explain it to you."

"It can't be, you were able to think of something yourself? You are not as hopeless as I thought. Well done, well done! It seems that sleep affects you well, you have even begun to develop."

Kopii's face twisted with irritation. He was starting to hate his voice in his head more and more.

"Shut up."

Now leaving his house.

"Come on, Kopii, why are you walking so slowly? And you can take off your useless mask, because we understand that you will soon do it. So why not take a step ahead of time? Come on, drop it."

"Drop it."

"Drop it."

"Come on."

"Come on."

"Come on."

"Just shut up!"

Unable to withstand, Kopii shouted. From the cry, all attention was turned to him. Looking down as much as possible, he still felt their eyes on him, felt their searching gazes on his body. The fear of seeing hatred and contempt in their eyes won Kopii.

He just stood and looked down, unable to even move.

"Well, are we going to stand here for a long time?"

"Hey au Kopii."

"Ah ha ah ha."

But Kopii didn't hear anything, he plunged more and more into himself. But a sharp push helped to bring Kopii back to normal.

"Sorry."

Looking up, he saw that no one was looking at him anymore, everyone was busy with their own business again.

"I should have gone through the alleys too, like yesterday."

He whispered to himself, entering the first alley.

"Oh oh , you finally came to your senses, and I already thought you would have a panic attack. But you know, Kopii, I would have watched it, perhaps it would even be fun. Hey. Hey. Are you even listening to me?"

"Can't you be quiet for a little while?"

"You can't even imagine how many times I've heard that from you. I even counted how many times a day you say it: one, two, three, four, one hundred and seventeen. That's how many. See, you idiot, how smart I am compared to you? But again, we have the same memories."

At some moments, Kopii did not understand what nonsense his imagination could carry. He guessed why his attitude was changing so quickly: from hatred to recognizing his mental abilities or vice versa. But even so, it remained in him what never changed: this is his character and reminded every second how much better he is than him and that in his eyes he is the most pathetic.

"Oh oh, we finally arrived. Finally, the boring days have come to an end."

Kopii ignored him. Entering the Valion Tower, he was met by a familiar picture: everyone was busy with something. He slipped through the crowd to the entrance to the dungeons. Standing a little, deciding whether to go down or not.

"Why are you standing? Come on, go. Stop hesitating."

"Be quiet," Kopii whispered, taking a step forward to meet new adventures.
