The morning sunlight filtered faintly through the half-open blinds of the hotel room. The golden rays gently kissed the scattered bedsheets, falling softly over the entangled bodies lying atop them. Indra Uchiha's eyes opened slowly, a calm glint flickering within his deep, unreadable gaze.
His right arm was wrapped around the waist of the woman sleeping on his chest. Her red hair spilled over the pillow like a fiery stream, and her delicate face rested in tranquility. Kushina Uzumaki — now reborn into a new body, now truly his. Her breathing was steady, calm, and her body radiated a soft warmth.
Indra's attention, however, wasn't on her sleeping figure. A transparent blue screen hovered quietly in front of him.

Indra raised a brow and sighed, shaking his head slightly. "Is reviving the dead becoming this easy nowadays?" he muttered, amusement in his voice.
His tone held no awe, only a sarcastic edge. To him, life and death had long since blurred into tools for manipulation. If Madara or Black Zetsu had heard his thoughts right now, they might've clawed their way out of the underworld just to throttle him. After all, if this kind of convenience existed for them, Madara would have long been revived, and Black Zetsu's grand plans would have already been pushed forward again.
A low sigh left his lips as he glanced down. Kushina stirred faintly, shifting slightly as her cheek pressed further against his chest. Her eyelids fluttered before slowly opening. The moment their eyes met, a flush of crimson bloomed across her cheeks.
She quickly pushed herself up, awkwardly pulling the blanket up to her bare chest, eyes flickering away from his teasing gaze.
Indra grinned, leaning forward and whispering near her ear, his breath warm and ticklish, "Last night... you were so proactive."
Kushina's cheeks ignited instantly. The heat in her body rivaled the flames of her Uzumaki blood. She tugged the blanket higher, hiding half her face while stammering incoherently.
He laughed softly, not cruelly, but with genuine amusement. It wasn't often that someone like Kushina, once a proud kunoichi, showed such innocence.
Then her expression turned serious.
"Indra... what about Naruto?"
The shift in his face was immediate. That casual grin vanished, and his expression darkened like a veil drawn over sunlight. His lips tightened, and for a moment, silence reigned between them. The silence grew heavy — too heavy for Kushina's comfort.
Her heart thudded against her ribs. Last night, Indra had made his stance very clear — he had no interest in raising Naruto. But she'd hoped... she'd foolishly hoped maybe he'd change.
Panic welled up inside her. "Indra, I'm sorry—"
"I'm not angry," he said, cutting her off with a helpless shrug. "In a few days, I'll kill that Konoha official and the Third Hokage."
His voice was calm. Matter-of-fact. As if he was discussing the weather.
Kushina froze.
He continued, pulling on his clothes, his back turned to her. "Once they're dead, I'll make Naruto's identity public. From that moment on, whether you go to him as a mother or stay with me... it's your choice."
He set a neatly folded set of fresh clothes beside her before walking toward the door.
She stared at the fabric in silence.
"Get dressed. Rest if you need to. I have things to do."
And just like that, he left. The door shut quietly behind him.
Kushina exhaled, her shoulders slumping as the tension drained out of her body. She gripped the blanket tightly and slowly let out a breath of relief.
At least... he'd given her the choice.
She didn't know yet if she'd reveal herself to Naruto. But the fact that Indra hadn't stopped her from doing so brought her some peace.
Still, as she got up from the bed, her legs trembled with each step. She cursed softly under her breath, reaching for the table for support.
"No wonder he has so many women... even someone like me, an Uzumaki, can't keep up with his rhythm..."
Her face flushed again at the memory, and she shook her head quickly to dispel the heat from her thoughts. Without further delay, she limped slowly into the bathroom to take a long shower.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Konoha, Indra made his way toward the Uchiha Guard Office.
The streets were quiet in the early morning. Most villagers still slept unaware of the political storms brewing beneath the surface.
Upon entering the office, he was immediately greeted by a fellow Uchiha clansman. The young man bowed respectfully.
"Lord Indra," he said, straightening. "We just received word. Uchiha Shisui... he plans to reveal his Mangekyou Sharingan to the Third Hokage."
Indra's expression remained indifferent.
The other man's tone was careful, gauging his leader's reaction. "He believes it may help ease the tension between the clan and the village."
Indra sneered.
"So, he's finally decided to throw himself into the fire."
He leaned back in his chair, resting one arm lazily on the desk.
"Let him go and die. What concern is he to me? I won't lift a finger to save that idiot."
The Uchiha shinobi blinked. "But, Lord Indra, his Mangekyou Sharingan ability is—"
"The ability to manipulate someone's will, yes," Indra cut him off coldly. "You don't need to finish the sentence. I already know."
He stared at the ceiling in thought.
"I'll arrange everything. Let him have his little moment."
The young man nodded, awe gleaming in his eyes. He clenched his fists with admiration.
"As expected of Lord Indra... no situation can faze you."
He bowed once more and departed, leaving Indra alone in the office.
Indra remained still for a few moments, his expression unreadable. He was calm, but his mind was calculating, formulating his next moves in rapid succession.
Far away from him, in a completely different part of the village, Shisui Uchiha stood before the calm lake near the outskirts of the forest. The still water reflected the sky above — peaceful, deceptive.
Beside him stood a young Itachi, still naive in some ways, still uncertain.
Shisui placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Wait here, Itachi. I'm going to speak with the Hokage."
He turned and vanished with practiced ease, his cloak fluttering faintly in the wind.
Moments later, Shisui stood in front of the grand doors of the Hokage's office.
The guards nodded, and he was allowed entry.
Inside, Hiruzen Sarutobi — the Third Hokage — sat behind his desk, his old eyes lifting from a document as he noticed Shisui.
"Ah, Shisui. What brings you here so early?"
Shisui stepped forward and bowed. "Lord Third. There's something I must speak to you about. Urgently. It concerns the future of the Uchiha clan... and Konoha."
The door to the Hokage's office clicked shut behind Shisui as he stepped forward with purpose. The room was quiet except for the faint rustling of papers on Hiruzen Sarutobi's desk. The Third Hokage looked older than usual today — the weight of countless burdens pressed into his shoulders.
He looked up slowly, observing the Uchiha prodigy standing before him. "Shisui... what is it?"
Shisui bowed deeply. "Lord Third, I've come to inform you of something important — my Mangekyō Sharingan."
Sarutobi leaned back slightly. His brows furrowed. "You've awakened it?"
Shisui nodded, expression calm but solemn. "Yes. After recent missions... and personal losses... I've unlocked it. And it has a very rare ability. One that could potentially stop the growing tension between the Uchiha clan and the village."
The Hokage's fingers intertwined in front of his mouth, elbows on the table. He listened, wordless.
"It allows me to enter a person's mind and change their will... completely. Without them realizing it. The effect is nearly impossible to counter."
Hiruzen's eyes widened slightly. "Kotoamatsukami... The ability to rewrite thoughts without resistance..."
Shisui nodded again. "Yes. I want to use this ability... on Fugaku."
The silence that followed was thick.
Shisui continued. "If I use it, I can steer him away from the idea of a coup. I can protect the village and the clan at the same time. No bloodshed. No war."
The Hokage's gaze fell to the desk.
"Do you realize what you're suggesting? To tamper with your own clan leader's mind... It's a dangerous path, Shisui. A path that, if discovered, could break what little trust remains."
"I do understand, Lord Third," Shisui said firmly. "But if we do nothing, it will come to bloodshed. I know it. You know it. The council knows it."
Sarutobi let out a deep, tired sigh.
"You're very much like your grandfather... brave and selfless. This village doesn't deserve sacrifices like you."
Shisui didn't smile.
"Please, grant me permission. Let me act before it's too late."
The Third Hokage stared long at the boy. The pressure of the moment bore down on them both.
Finally, Sarutobi stood.
"Very well. Prepare what you need. But be cautious. Danzo... is not someone who will sit still if he hears of this."
Shisui bowed deeply. "Thank you, Lord Hokage. I won't fail."
He turned and exited the room, resolve burning behind his eyes. The heavy doors closed again with a deep thud.
Unseen in the shadows of the corridor outside, a figure watched Shisui disappear into the daylight.
Back in the Uchiha Guard office, Indra Uchiha leaned against the windowsill of his private room, overlooking the compound. A distant sneer curled at his lips as he sensed the changing winds.
"Go on, Shisui," he muttered, a cold smile dancing across his face. "Show the village your foolish idealism... and let it devour you."
His thoughts shifted, fast and sharp.
It wasn't time yet to move — but every piece on the board was falling into place.
The village would burn.
And from its ashes, his rule would rise.
