"How do you know about it?" Jaxon asked Fenja. She looked pale, her eyes fixed on the children inside the cages.
In total, there were ten of them, and they were younger than ten years old. Four of them were human children, while the rest were shifters.
All of them huddled inside their cages, which were too small for their bodies. The sight was heartbreaking and bone-chilling.
And it wasn't just ten of them. There were three lifeless bodies in the corner of this secret room. Their bodies were still warm, which meant it had not been so long since they lost their precious lives.
"Fenja." Jaxon shook her shoulders to get her attention. "Go with Ethan." He realized this was not the right time to ask her how she could find this place.
Ethan took the initiative and led her way out of the basement.
