"Not bad," Fenja said, and she continued eating her food. "I have a variation of a nightmare."
Hearing that, Jaxon looked amused. "Are you being sarcastic with me?" He raised his brows because Fenja didn't even dare to look at him, but she was being petulant now. "Tell me, what did I do wrong?"
No. Jaxon didn't do anything wrong, and Fenja knew that; she was just being sulky right now.
"Nothing." Fenja lowered her head even more. She murmured to her food, "Sorry."
But, to her surprise, Jaxon pinched her chin and tilted her head up until she looked at him. "What did I say about apologizing?"
Fenja tried to smile sheepishly. "Sorry." She immediately corrected herself. "No, I am not sorry." But it didn't feel right either; thus, she stopped herself from saying anything anymore, just in case it would piss the Alpha off even more.
